hello i have a only fools and horses dice edition machine and cant sort the volume out on it , when i turn the refill key its not giving me any options to turn volume up or down , all refil keys are the same for any fruit machine right ? allso ive pressed the red button on the mpu and you can set the volume using that but once ive set the volume nothing has changed so still no sound , can anyone help please ?

So are you hearing the sound as your turning the volume up?.

no im not hearing anything , i cant use the refill key as nothing comes up to change the volume or anything else , if i press the red button on the back board it does stuff like reel and lamp tests ect and allso has an option to adjust the volume up and down , you dont hear anything whilst doing this and once you have set the volume nothing happens and when you turn it back on still no sound

Some s2 have to open back door or go into test and refill key.
You should hear the music go up as you turn it up.
Fault must lie elsewhere.

I can't recall on Scorp 2 if there was a potentiometer that controlled the sound levels? I could be wrong but I thought software control of sound only came in a bit later.

Do you hear any sound (even a hum) if you hold your ear close to the speaker? It could be that the amplifier chip has gone.
