That is very recent - I got it off eBay for £15 ( well £23 when you add P&P ).

Had to make the base up - but yeah thanks, I was unsure about it but your comment has made me think yes absolutely. :)

Looks fantastic mate, top job on this.

Many thanks mate.

It has changed the way I see layouts and made them even more enjoyable... :)

Yep I love it. I think it really sets the machine off. I'd have something like that myself but I don't have the room above the machine.

:) :)

one quick question what is the difference between 5v and 12v crimped  wires  will they both work .I understand that i need 6.3mm to fit into the buttons. The ipac 2,the pacdrive,16 buttons that illuminate, a usb connector and then i am good to go.Is that all i need? and then i will make something to house it in when its done.

Power for the LED's is provided by the pacdrive.

Basically I chain all the LED's together with a single source for the power that comes from the pacdrive and then you have the on / off signal come from the other terminals.

Perhaps the best way to show it is look at the keyboard building guide I did.  That shows how to make one end to end ( pre-cabinet ), but I used the same method in the cabinet.

Here's the thread...

http://www.desertisl...mfme-keyboard/

The guide is here...

http://www.desertisl...-mfme-keyboard/

...or...

Attached File  MFME_Keyboard_V1.00.pdf   5.15MB   5 downloads

Page 8 is going to show what it physically looks like with regards to the LEDs.

What you see there was the prototype to this...

Attached File  2.jpg   160.1KB   0 downloads

...which then lead to this cabinet.  Sadly due to space, that keyboard is sitting in the loft. :(

if you want to make space in your loft i would be interested in buying it at the right price.

To be honest, it means more to me as a sentimental value for the work that went into it then a cash value...

I saw this tonight, I would love one of these for my cabinet...

Had a couple of hours to spare this evening so topper got changed.

Had to replace all the internal leds with those cheap strips with a remote from Amazon, think it worked out well.

I also have at least one £500 machine on the cabinet, so it's ok to put this there. :)
