File Name: Monopoly Gold £70 Dx

File Submitter: vectra666

File Submitted: 28 Aug 2017

File Category: Scorpion 5

Lets play Monopoly!!!
 Here's a Dond type game with the usual Monopoly characters set on the famous board.

 The layout itself may not be the clearest for mfme5 that's due to the smaller than image i used as a starter artwork but its not far off clear, if not enlarged too much.

 Shortcuts are -

 Start = Spacebar
 Transfer £5 = X
Change Stake = S
Collect = C
Holds = 1,2,3
Hi = 2, Lo = 3
Cancel = `
Boom or Bust = B

Play Monopoly Feature = M
Take it = T
Leave it = L

£1's in = 0
£5 = 7, £10 = 8 & £20 = 9

                   Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!

Thanks for this, wasn't sure about this one, as the resource work wasn't great, but you've done an excellent job. Looks great, with the lights off, in full screen mode.

As for the machine, well, I do enjoy some of the tunes on this one (just found myself whistling one when I was showering lol). Some of the sounds on the Monopoly machines, can be very generic and/or annoying, but here they seem to have put in some effort.

Lots of things to look out for, although the symbols and mr moneybags on the reels, does seem over the top for feature entry. Perhaps if they had them combined them on certain reels it would have been better.

Strange also not to see winning combinations on the paytable, but see they are missing from the artwork, so probably an early mock up of the machine.

As for the DOND feature, a bit different, I like the red amounts, but lots of .50p's I'm not sure really favour the player, going for the jackpot, but when you have £1.50 £2.50, £3.50, £4 left and it offers you £3.02, then of course the player can't lose.

Hopefully not the last Scorp 4 or 5, Monopoly machine, we'll see emulated.

Thsnks again for feedback wearecity wasn't sure how it would come out on people's PC's
Another strange thing on this machine,
there's no Extra Life!!
I'll look out for more monopoly hi Tech's within the ROM sites as it looks like takeover is a non starter?

Get out of jail free acts as an extra life, both for when you get sent to jail and when you get game over on the mystery.

I suppose the lo-tech Monopoly takeover might be possible, if the artwork is good, as Matty has already done a classic http://www.fruit-emu...over-bellfruit/

An enthusiastic video review here

Whatever you choose to do next, I just grateful that you still have the enthusiasm to churn out DX's lol.

Yep still releasing at a rate of every two weeks or so in five yrs ain't bad going even though the dying days of old mfme.
I intend to release my own version of bfm safecracker as already prepped the art. I don't particularly like dons but these even though are basically the same they are different due to not the same "how do you feel" etc comments.
Still on the lookout for the correct sounds for 24carot gold art work already lit.
I've still got the awps cannonball run and then I've got the classic blue chip already made just awaiting wizards 5.2 update
Still loads to be made, I've got around a dozen wips on the go lol.

Excellent release, one of the few £70 games I actually enjoy playing.  Thanks for all the hard work in creating these layouts.

there appears to be a slight lamping error on my part.

i have re-uploaded the layout but you can rectify this easily if you're one of the 190 members who have downloaded it already.

goto edit mode "red bar" select the "JAIL" lamp and change the lamp number to 176, then click on the TWO "JUST VISITING" Lamps and change them both to 177 then save the fml.file layout it should light correctly when you land on the goto jail/jail lamp

Big thanks goto jim aka retro arcade for posting the video otherwise we'd of never known. surprised how no one picked this up during play.

another error due to the flyer no one picked up on

the top chance and waterwork they're upsidedown and reversed!

Played £200 + through this yesterday and never noticed the lamp issue lol. Mind you, things move so fast and I normally am just looking at the number reel to spin a double.

I'm not so sure about the chance and waterworks. http://bradfrost.com...op_template.jpg

Overall really enjoyed playing this yesterday. Possibly the most I've played through an emulated machine in one session this year.
