Ok guys im taking the kids to Richmond Holiday Park in good old skeg. They like me love the amusements and I don't mind the £5 jp etc at the seaside. Now quick question. In the arcade on site if anyone has been do you know what machine they got in there etc or is it worth not bothering with?

Hi

I don't know of the park  u are staying at as ive never stayed there.

But I  did stay at a haven park just outside of skegi in June, which was fantastic-only had a hadfull of modern 5p slots but was aok.

There are plenty of arcades on the sea front but very few classic slots around.

The usual ticket,10p and mix of £25/£35 and £500 slots.

Im sure there would be info online but sadly most holiday sites show pictures of years gone by so prob would not show you anything upto date.

Enjoy your hols-is a nice place Skegness and along that coast line.

Jay

Haha, I read that title as Sky Vegas.

Never been to Skegness, but if you do find anything of interest, be sure to let us know. My last seaside trip, there was absolutely nothing of interest, just ticket machines and 10p £5 jackpot machines from the scorpion 4/5 era.

Totally agree with Wearcity. Nothing here of interest on the Norfolk and Suffolk coast either !

Along the East coast there are some cracking arcades.

True Skegness had little to offer but just up the coastline in Cleethorpes and Mablethorp there were many classic slots.

A lot of great arcades on the Norfolk coastline too so disagree with you Ric.

You sometimes have to venture away from seafront to see the bigger picture.

Have you visited Hemsby? I believe there are more arcades on that one site than there are in Blackpool put together!

True there are few places left now where you can find classic pre 90's slots but some still remain.-they are just sometimes harder to find.

Canvey Island on the s.coast also had a good selection of slots.

BE CAREFUL!! most machines in Skeggy are ticket payouts.. And some places wont accept them but the reason im saying be CAREFUL is due to their tickets looking very similar to other arcade tickets, I fed mine into a machine at another place and it Took them but the Counter stopped at 100 even though more was going in and the bloke behind the counter refused to reimburse me due them not being their brand tickets...
