I've had one last year.

Most I've won on an AWP is £210 £70 dond repeated twice in a pub. Can't remember which DOND it was though.

I think £2 a go will virtually end my rare awp playing days.

I would be shocked if the Cat C games go up to £2 stake... putting the jackpot up would be stupid too

Pretty sure I recently saw a jackpot being put to £200. Deal or No Deal Win Fall it was, £200 jackpot. Not sure on stake though.

That's where amusement has ended--a £150/200 jackpot machine and still prob will have 50 p win for cherries!!

Don't touch pub fruits at all--shame really its gone this way,

Unless the govt steps in and bans the FOBT and high stake - high jackpots. In that case the industry would need a lot more players - can't see it happening though...

These new machines really are terrible to play, you simply don't get a run for your money. The latest deal or no deal type clone they have in my local for example, last week.

 

Red reels, gamble - lose - gamble - lose after about £10 of this, on the board, deal or no deal feature, never offered above a tenner.

The next thing it will do is super feature next board, you can guarantee at least another tenner before you get on there.

 

You can see why people don't play them any more.

 

I can remember the golden age of Line Up, Reel Crazy, Adders and Ladder and Options Unlimited in pubs, just after the JP's were raised to £3.

You could make a nice profit on the old Barcrests by switching them off and back on again after a decent win. The manufacturers cottoned on to that one pretty quickly though.
