Sorry if this is already answered but I can't find anything

Can MFME run on a Mac? My son wants to put a Mac in the playroom instead of my old Windows pc.

Yes if you run it with Parallels I would suspect.

Far as I know talking to Daryl (stardust), he's had it running via Parallels stable enough, so give that option a try.

For Linux users, I have tried Wine on Mint Linux, but get mixed reliability results from this, mostly due to the extra CPU and memory that is used.

Definitely works in Parallels and actually performs pretty well.

 

It works kinda OK in WINE on Mac although as Stan says it can have performance issues. If you've got a new(ish) Mac with good spec (note: needs MacOs 10.8 or later) it's worth a go...

I run it fine on a 2013 Mac Book Pro with Parallels running Windows 10. The only thing that freaks my laptop out is the (constant) Windows 10 updates.
