morning all,

 

Been a long time since i last logged into FE and noticed quite a lot has changed in a cpl of years. Its great too see so many new layouts and MFME5.

 

I have read a few posts about people getting the DirectX Jun2010 red problem and I have also encountered this problem when trying to load MFME5. I have donwloaded DirectX from official microsoft download area, ran and installed it and STILL get the error message when opening MFME5.

 

Its getting on me moobs now. Can anyone point me in the right direction how to get around this please. I am running windows 10.

i dunno if its just me but when im playing space raiders from barcrest sometimes i get 4 nudges and it resets or it could be a fault with the dx

not played that layout, but if memory serves me right my very first layout "hi-lo karate" classic had a problem with the machine erroring when nudges were on, it had something to do with the reel jumpers in the emulation needed setting?? is anyone else having problems with this layout?

I HAVE TROUBLE WITH size, THEY ARE ALWAYS TOO BIG I'M ON A LAPTOP, ANYTHING I CAN DO? I NEED TO BE SHOW STUFF TO LEARN IT WHICH DOESN'T HELP LOL

Open the emulator, click on file, then click on preferences, then make sure shrink to fit is ticked.

Make sure you are using at least v5.1 of the emulator, but to get most machines working you'll need the latest version v6.1.

Don't bother with any other versions of the emulator, otherwise and you won't be able to play anything released in the past 2 years.

The latest version is only available at www.desertislandfruits.com and you'll need to register and post to be able to download.
