Hi Everyone

Recently bought The Mob by MDM, and until now it has been faultless.
 

 

Playing about with it this afternoon though, it has developed a strange fault where the display is showing random characters.
 

 

This machine will still play, and payout, just doesn't display properly.

I have traced the cables from the display down to the bottom of the MPU4 board, and both ends are secure.

Looking for some guidance as to what to check next?

Thanks for the response. Any idea who I could contact about a repair? or, if I source a replacement MPU, is it just a case of unplugging the one that is in it, and plugging in the new one?

Repair, probably yourself.
New board if you don't know much about electronics.
You.need to know if the board is mod2 or mod4.
There are sound chip differences.

Yeah it's a Mod 4 board. I have been put in contact with someone who is going to repair mine. I'll let you know how I get on
