So anyone, there was this one fruit machine that really had me hooked as a child...
Was a graphical fruit machine that had 5 * 3 reals going on screen one after the other, Jackpot was only like £2's
This was maybe 20 or so years ago, there abouts anyway...
Anyone able to help me find the name or recognise my ramblings?

I know the one you mean, the jackpot was 3 crowns and paid £2. It sticks in my mind because i won the jackpot and got 4 repeat wins! £10 from a 2p play machine!
I was only 11 so it seemed like loads of money.
Can't for the life of me remember the name of it though...

Problem is that I was like 7 years old when I played it or something silly, the names don't mean much since it's all about the flashing lights and winning those 10p's
I remember when you got nudges on the active reel at the time it would move around to the centre and expand so you could see how many nudges you actually needed.

£2 repeater for £10. I didn't think they made £2 repeat machines in those days.

This is the Sidewinder machine people are talking about.
This might be the machine you're thinking of. Then again, maybe not.

As far as I can remember (and this was a looong time ago) there were only 2 machines like this back then.
One was sidewinder by ace and the other was take 5ive by barcrest.
Neither of them caught on and thus no more of them came out afterwards.
Sidewinder is to hand, Chris Wren has one, it is also partially emulated in mame, but the roms are very hard to dump (close to impossible) and thus the last time I asked Chris for them he said no.
lol
