Just a heads up really, be sure to resave all your old layouts with MFME v5.1 into .fml format as the next version no longer supports the loading of .dat files.

You will always be able to convert them using v5.1

Been through all layouts I have kept, so many times now, since v5, I'd be amazed if I hadn't already got everything converted.

many thanks would it be a good idea to get all the old mmfe layouts converted to the correct ready to be uploaded here in a new download folder so people doesnt get confused

 

ie get every layout done minus the ones or mmfe 1 archive them so it speak

 

 

just do stuff from mmfe v2 up wards

That has to be a lot of layouts, I think it will be hard to track as some members have already fixed/updated layouts for v5.1, you don't want to waste your time over Christmas fella.

Great news Wizard.

 

It probably makes sense as well to ask people in the wake of this message from Wizard to make sure you have upto date accounts on all the following forums to assist the admins:

 

- DADsFME - sometimes has unique layouts not released elsewhere.

- Fruit-Emu - has links to layouts like dx'cellent and desert island fruits as well as a lot of generic layouts from designers with no personal sites.  Also has the biggest amount of content in terms of legacy layouts.  Donations always welcome.

- The Mecca - once in a while, the odd old machine, you maybe able to download for free but a little thanks and donation to site costs goes a long way.

- Desert Island Fruits - anything I release, you'll see notifications elsewhere - but you will only get the layout direct from the site.

 

Each of these sites has exclusive conent, I've seen layouts released on anything betweeen all of them, down to one of them.  The last thing we want to be doing is giving admins more work if there is a surge of people wanting something.

 

If you think there is any chance whatsoever of you wanting anything from the above places, then do go and sign up or at least test your account.

Oh Wizard you've really cheered me up, you know. With a creaters update of an update just done, my screen reader now reads a lot of stuff it never used to. Wonder if it will work in edit mode? Hint hint. Anyways thanks for the heads up mate.
