Is it just me, or is this years PDC darts one of the best tournaments (so far) ever?

Not just because it's Phil's last outing, but the standard and close games have been great to watch!

Dimitri Van den Bergh and Jamie lewis have been the two stand out performers for me, and Rob Cross can certainly chuck an arrow or two....

plenty of upsets this year so far....but todays (friday) quater finals were all epic. compulsive viewing... (except lewis vs webster)

i think MVG will win the title again, but a win for Taylor in his final tournament EVER, would be a good fairytail ending to his career......

thats my 2 pence worth anyway.......... :err: :goofy:

Channel 4 has the BDO championship - not the same quality of play of course but can also produce some decent matches...

Edit - put the correct channel - doh :)

Never watched the darts but I do enjoy snooker. Much more genteel.

For some reason my Nan was a teetotal Salvation Army stalwart but loved any tv program which featured a pub game. Big Break, Bullseye...
Fairly certain that if she had still been alive then Deal or No Deal would have baffled her.

Have to agree with Magz, brilliant tournament so far, just getting ready for the first semi final. Would be great If Phil Taylor won it but I thing MVG will get better. Just watched Phil’s first nine darter, classic.

My mate is a massive fan.  I used to watch it with my old man back in the 80's when you had Eric Bristow and Jocky Wilson.  Van Gerwen is on another level at times.

Amazing game indeed - couldn't pick a winner until the last dart landed.

Well done the winner - going to be a cracking final!
