Well after pestering a few people and checking out  various sites and youtube videos i have embarked on a journey that will end hopefully with a table top fruit machine button console to make playing mfme more realistic .Space doesn't permit the full mcoy .

Given that i have never done anything like this before it would have been easy for me just to follow faithfully the info given but i have decided to make the challange harder by limiting my budget to £100 to get it up and running. There have had to been some compromises to get there.

So i have started stage 1 where for £39 i have ordered the kit with 16  illuminated buttons in 4 colours and a usb hub for £5 .

With the kit i should be able to asign the buttons to keys and play mfme off the buttons.

Once that is up and running i will get the pacdrive and move onto stage 2 .

Good luck, be interested in what you end up with as you're a newb at it. Might encourage a few of us, I could never do that people, to have a go.

Well I have managed to complete it without too many hiccups. Total cost around £100.The short cuts I used to achieve this were using the usb outputs that came with the buttons rather than an ipac and xpadder to map the buttons. Also they are currently housed in a cardboard box rather than something more permanent. I will post some pictures shortly and maybe a video.Must thank Reg and pinallthetime for there help and last but not least to Wizard for his amazing emulator and the way he had made setting up the buttons for the pacdrive so easy.

I did will post some pics its in a cardboard box which I tried to unsuccessfully improve.Yes I did use the zero delays encoders that came with the buttons.Bought some square buttons for the bottom so total cost went to 115 but its possible to make a fully functional fme console for less than 100 .

Would love to see some pics of this! Really interesting concept to limit the budget and just shows what can be done with the determination and a bit of lateral thinking. Congratulations on getting the build up and running :)

Hi Ritdav,

For my project, i have buy all  on alliexpress, it's a very cheap and good quality, you must just wait 3 weeks delay shipping. The illuminated button are good on 5 volts or 12 volts with the same leds. the usb encoder is great with xpadder, you can buy a casino harness with all the wire for led and button you must just cut the near the jama connector and plug directly on your pacdrive .
