Hi all,

Is it possible to add new games to my Astra B3? It's an Astra Pc model not Firefox. (Reel king, king crazy, originally Jack and the giant jackpot).

There's 4 games installed and playable, loads more in the config menu but they're locked and not playable.

I've got Reel King Potty, Rainbow King Potty, 4 King Cash and Party Games Slotto.

Never owned a machine before and had no luck with my last post so hoping someone can advise on this.

Thanks.

You will need a dongle to make any other games playable.

Any ideas of where to get one? Or can the games be downloaded and transferred to a USB stick from somewhere? Obviously we can't pay £900 for 1 game from Astra lol its only for home use.

Games will not even play in demo. You either have to buy another unit and run two dongles, which is what I do or buy from Astra.

It is a nice touch it runs two dongles at once. I do have several dongles but so far, I can only get two going. Not sure what's on the other dongles, but they are 100% Astra.

You've lost me lol.

What do you mean about running 2 dongles at once? Where do you buy dongles from?

This is our 1st machine and only had it a week so it's all new to us.

Thanks again.

There is a purple dongle that tells the machine you have the licences for your games. I got a bit lucky and was given a few of these from scrapped machines. I just took mine out, tried each one while in service and seeing what games could be added. Each dongle would highlight which games could be added in real play. Only one worked though, but that gave me 4 different games.

I then had two dongles that worked, so tried them both at the same time and that worked, so I could have 8 or 9 different games on my screen.

I do have a few of these, but most don't work. I did try to run 3 dongles, but that didn't work. I do have a working double action slotto dongle as I have that spare pc. But that pc does not work anymore. I may try to reinstall the os back to it and re try the non working dongles.

Go get friendly with a fruit machine company. Maybe off them a few quid for bits like this. They scrap these machines for fun.

I don't really play mine. Only keeping it as I have so many bits for it and it's not really taking up too much room.

Ahh ok! There's no dongle in ours at the moment.

I assume the licence is just installed for the 4 playable games. I don't know of any fruit machine companies so I'll have to do a bit of research. I thought they'd be like any pc, where you can get cracked games for them or download a licence or something to a USB stick.

Thanks for the info! I wish there was a way to put it into demo mode and play all the other games like that.

There is 100% a dongle in yours. Probably on the end on a usb extension lead. That is, if you have a reel king/slotto cab.

Yes, demo would have been nice. Barcrest at least got that right :)

Can't see anything like a dongle. 2 Usb slots are empty, 2 have leads but I've traced those back and they both lead to the touch screen panel. I've attached photos of the machine to show.
(most of those photos have uploaded the wrong way around so you'll have to look sideways lol)

What are the two usb cables going too? I'd say one if the touch screen. Where's the other going? It varies from cab to cab, but it's most liikely diving into near the cash boxes.

Both to the touch screen monitor. If you look a the photo of the back of the panel (5th photo), the grey lead (far right) is one of them and the black (far left) is the other. Neither drop into the bottom box.
