hi i have been resetting my stats by using the clear ram in the mfme emulator but quite a lot of times the sound totally disappears and some are very low and some boom out ,i have tried using the ctrl + combo but it says it is turned up to 200% and in the gam file it says master volume is at 200% but the volume is still the same no sound etc so any help in this issue would be great as i dont seem to have any control of volume in the emulator as i would like them all to be at the same volume

thankyou in advance

one answer, don't clear the ram!! by doing this resets all the machines settings i'e volume, hoppers etc.

on most machines you simply tick the back door tab  and click "test" or you can tick the refill tab and cycle through the test options until you find the volume, usually test 8.2

you may also find clearing the ram empties the hoppers so they'll need refill to max or the note acceptors won't work, in some scorpion5 machines even the note acceptors will need resetting.

as i said a simply solution is "don't clear the ram"

thankyou for the reply and im sure a read a thread somewhere about resetting the stats and someone mentioned the ram reset or deleting the ram file so i decided to go with the reset not thinking anything else would be altered except the money in and out stats,i guess i should have realised after the 2nd machine i reset that something wasnt quite right and should have posted sooner but im still hoping the volume issue can be resolved as like i say the master volume is 200% with no difference in mfme6 ..gonna stop resetting ram now though so thankyou for the tip

If you want to just reset stats you can do that via the game manager.

Don't forget also that you can toggle the meters between current play and long term play.

Resetting the ram of course means you have zero pounds in and out so the machine probably will play strangely as well.

I wonder if this is what's wrong with my Monopoly Gold £70??

the machines seems to be ok its just the sound which is the issue and not being able to turn it up or have the emulator realise that the volume is at 200% in the gam file but it dosent make a difference as very low sound still

What about the rest of your sounds? I'm just wondering if it could be a problem with your drivers for your sound?

Are all the fruit machines the same or just a select few?

Also, have you tried what Vectra suggested and altered the volume through the machine itself? i.e. using the fruit machine buttons the way you would do it with a real fruit machine?

only thing i havent tried yet is the volume through the machine itself but yes my drivers are fine and the volume is an issue on quite a lot of the machines with various noise levels from no audio to booming audio..every other thing on my pc works fine IE music, movies etc so i know its an issue or most likely me not being to to use the volume control properly although mfme does not recognise the master volume at 200% when it shows that it is in the game file so hopefully that will get fixed

I fixed one of mine using Vectras suggestion so give that a go, I think it will work. Good luck :)

quick update i use the  "

On MPU5 machines, after the machine has finished initialising, simply hold down hold button 2 and check refill, to

take you to the volume control." and thats works great so thats something but i havent managed any other tech so far but just wanted to thank all of you for the help

There is nothing to resolve, you just need to adjust the volume of the machine itself using either the refill menu or it's test routine.

MFME can't adjust the volume if there is none coming out of the machine!

I told you how to fix that when you first asked in a different thread, it's because the DES keys are reset when you clear the RAM so the machine cannot then communicate with the Hoppers, Coin Mechs and Note Acceptors.
