im genuinely emotional about this one...gutted.

i was watching the darts on sky and they announced it....the crowd started singing his name instantly..

i felt a bit gutted for peter wright and gurney having to finish their match in that situation....peter wright was proper choked at the end..

I grew up in the day of Embassey darts. it was fantastic and i even had a dart board signed by the great -

Eric Bristow, Leighton Reese, Jocky Wilson, John lowe, Keith Deller, John anderson, (F*ck me even had Trevor Nurse on there!!) and many many more.

His crafty cockney throwing and mannerism were a truly inspiring figure in the darts world. RIP

Yes. 100% correct.

Nowadays, I have no interest in Darts at all, but as a kid, I always had a dartboard in a few rooms in the house.

RIP Eric, one of the game true characters gone.

Was told of someone out of the blue and for a minute i just stood there and thought f**k me,and the person who told me said didnt like him anyways. Well that just it,it was a love/hate with eric going back years when the good old days of darts was been played here at jollies stoke, when battles was done with john lowe upto the finals and i think everyone was glued. Epic all the way.

Always remember being up hanley in the market tavern with my mate and we lived for darts and were sat there and this icon came in we couldnt beleave it,we just looked at amazement as we had never seen him before, and he said dont just sit there looking then, get us a pint. Big head?? NO thats just eric!!!!

RIP SADLY MISSED.
