File Name: Popeye and Olive £8T Dx (MFME6.1 UPGRADE)

File Submitter: vectra666

File Submitted: 28 May 2018

File Category: Impact

 This isn't a new layout, its a upgrade of an existing mini 1024wdx i did back in 2015 before mfme5-6.1

The artwork's still the same and poor in places.
 So whats been done to the original well,

Made larger and darkened down, Sharpened existing artwork a tad
Added reel gradients
Remade the seven segs
Added coin effects
Blended the lamps where there's more than one per section

Notes from the 2015 1024Wdx layout
Next up is this mid 90's machine a rare Jpm Popeye n Olive set @£8 88%.

Thanks goto-

Pete W for the conversion tool.
BB & Troutman for the original Jpemu classic layout I converted and used for lamping purposes,
Fuzion for the original topic and image and to Hithesix for re-uploading that image,
Tommy C for help with the £4/8 decals and the bars n sevens from one of his layouts,
Ploggy for help with setting the correct meters for token payouts etc

Shortcuts are -
Start = spacebar
Collect = C
Holds = 1,2,3
Cancel/ Up Nudges = `
Tokens in = 9
££££'s in = 0

Enjoy again and happy gaming!!!

Looks great in larger size, was one of the smaller DX's that I had in my collection, because it resized very well in v5.0 onwards.

Seems strange having an alpha display when it isn't needed as such during gameplay. I thought it would be perhaps for the owner, engineer to help with test routines and diagnostics etc. But it does have a full attract mode and player advice notices, such as let em spin.

So should the alpha be on the machine or not, I guess is the mystery.

Many thanks for the update :)

There was no alpha on the original machine, maybe they just used it for testing purposes.

Maybe they initially planned it to be more of hi-tec machine rather than a lo-tec. But if you can output certain things to the alpha, like you said, that's a great tool for testing the game.

This is the reason I left the alpha under the picture as wearecity says it gives info for the hidden stuff.
Not the best upgrade but I had the original art same goes for up under nudge to be done soon
