A reminder that there is still about £100 available to spend acquiring appropriate resources needed for emulation.
This could in theory be anything. Flyers, ROMS, glasses, or a whole machine. It could even go towards someones expenses if they were engaged in acquiring a resource, and were not in a position to fund the full cost themselves.
HOWEVER there must be reasonable justification for acquisition of something which does not already exist in digital format, or in a sufficiently useful quality, on an emulation site or in a members own collection.
Its not good enough to post a link to a load of stuff on eBay and say we need this for emulation. You should have already shown diligence in thoroughly checking demand, lack of duplication, and value for money (as this has come from donations, and we have a duty to check that it is not spent on a whim or wasted).
You should be willing to communicate with sellers and negotiate if necessary.
Please bear in mind that logistics are often the most expensive and complex aspect of the process.
While site staff might assist when able and available, their duty must be assumed to be limited to the disbursement of the funds when a resource has already been deemed to be required, and after it has been paid for. We will not usually be able to competitively bid on resources in person as this can add an unnecessarily complicated layer to the process and potentially lead to bidding against other site members.
All suitable suggestions will be considered.

A nice big bacon sarnie will not be considered then?
You might need to consider whether that cafe might be ripping you off...

Flyers or roms would be my suggestion. A full machine seems a bit over the top unless its very cheap or too good to let slip by.
