Hi just wondering what it means when you open a Rom folder and there's an extra bin file in there?
I'm looking to program so jpm impact roms... the program roms seem obvious. Sound appears to be labelled there's an extra bin file in there?
20059.bin (p1) 128k
20060.bin (p2) 128k
Cccsnd.bin (sound?) 512k

Extra?
1274.bin 512k
Thought you guys would be the ones to ask! Whats this extra file for can anyone help?

Looks like another sound file going by the size.

Hi J yeah thanks mate... I'm not sure as impact is only 2 program roms and 1 sound Rom. The 4 files are confusing me.

The bin file 1274 is  also the sound file, so you only need one sound for this.

Ah that would make sense thanks. Any ideas on why these extra files are included?

Also if I wanted to upgrade to later sets/revisions how do you do this? I download them but it's usually only a small file included not the whole set. Any ideas? Thanks

Usually these will only be one file, except for the first rom set (which normally includes the sound rom)

 

so if you download  " set 2"  e.g which will contain 1 rom , you will  need to download set 3, as impact are normally  named  like this  so if set 2 is 7650

  that means you need 7651 as well to make up the set.  2x 128 kb.

 

as for the extra rom   it's probably been uploaded  as back up.
