Smokey won't work on MFME.  It will have the same issues as Crazy Crocs.  Smokey will work to a certain extent on the old Amber however, but there are no sounds available for it at present and it will probably lock-up because of the missing sounds.

Crazy Crocs does actually work on the old Amber, but again locks-up after 40 credits and needs to reset.  It's an old bug that Guitar tried to fix, but couldn't narrow down the problem.  Probably sound related.

Yeah, i know there had to be a reason for it, as it would have been done if we had the soundies.

my local arcade had one of them last time i was in the storeroom,(about two years ago)

so if i remember next time i go into town i will ask.

talking of sounds we now have them for "john francome's winning enclosure"  have you tried that in the emu?

Just had a go at it on the emulator, but there's something not quite right with it.  The reels spin, and it shows the lamps, but nothing else happens.  None of the displays work, and everything is static.  I've attached a started layout, and all the roms we have for it.  Might be a way of getting it setup so it works correctly.

No problem, mate.  Always nice to see old photos of machines you remember playing from years gone by.  Try and get hold of those roms if you can, mate.  There are plenty of folks within FME that can get them all dumped, and archived. :)

This is the only picture I can find of it.

AH!!  i think this uses a dot matrix   or similar , i recall one similar that wouldn't budge and that was " secrets of the golden nile"

all lights come on reels spin etc, then just sat there doing nothing. pretty sure you could add coins too, but that didn't help  :err:

Now we have 1605 different MFME games....

Many thanks for the update ian, much appreciated mate.

Managed to get a small picture of John Francombe's Winners Enclosure, and it does indeed have a dot matrix.  Fancy that.  A Maygay having a dottie! :)

Would explain why it's not running correctly then.  Should have known really, as there's a rom in the archive named 'encdot.bin'.

PcP, a great little machine if memory recalls, one of the best payouts i had in early 90's 10p play £4.80 repeater gave me 10xrepeats for a £48 bank in tokens which I then probably lost in chain reaction, cashlines etc whilst I was working down home farm holiday park, Burnham on sea
Whether it'll be emulatable I do think it will along with the 2per cash explosion another awesome game with a whopping 50p repeat good memories I hope we'll all enjoy again soon, very soon!!
