when I play a machine the fonts show arrows and stuff in the display

Hey reddevil25,

 

If you are having issues with some squares/boxes not showing up correctly, you may not have the MFME Font installed.

 

If you are a member of http://www.desertisl...ex.php?/portal/ then you will be able to download the latest MFME Font from there in which you can install within your Fonts Folder in C:/Windows/Fonts.

 

You may need to download a fruit machine first to get the font needed within the folder!

 

(If I am wrong, I am sure someone will correct me)

How can you be in a position where you have layouts I've done ( assuming it is one of mine ) - but - clearly not the font ?

 

Can you let me know where you got the layouts that have the font problem please ?

Between here and Desert Island fruits you should be able to get all the help you need. Soorry but i am a novice kind of but you will find plenty of assistance in both groups.

If you possess a layout that is in the dad format, could you change the dat file to fml?

Yeah open in mfme 5,save the layout then open in 6.1.
