Once you have v5.1, also get the very latest version 6.1 from http://www.desertisl.../file/116-mfme/

Just sign up and say hello on the forums.

Any machine layouts, released before November 2016 will work on v5.1, anything after November 2016 will work on v6.1.

Anything you load into v5.1, when you close it, it will save and be openable in v6.1.

Then when you have done all of that and got yourself settled, there are others that you will need i.e BFMulator and JPeMu. Don't worry about these for now as the main ones are above.

It's a great shame that BFMulator and JPeMu  never really took off like MFME did.

I think ultimately having everything in one emulator is now much more convenient.

Certainly at the time, they were built for specific techs only.

With Jpemu, I don't think it was ever intended, that it would incorporate every JPM tech before and after.

Possibly different with BFMulator as I believe the author, was someone who basically had insider access as well as the knowledge and ability to code an emulator.

JPeMu's next tech would've been Epoch, weirdly.

Thank you for your reply it's fantastic that MFME is now the one stop for all the fantastic layout's that all the great layout creators have made.

The rows don't mean shit if people come together, create masterpieces and have a laugh at the end. Life is too goddamn short!!!

When we have people like Wizard who stays one step ahead of the game like layout creators FME will never die.
