What do you think?
Ive been here since the back of 2 watching the concert.
I was sceptical because I remember the original Live Aid Concert but I have to admit this is better. It's one of those days where you will remember where you were...in my case twice.
Which was best in your opinion? Live Aid...or Live 8...and why.
Also which acts did you love. Paul McCartney & U2 started it off for me..but I also loved Mariah Carey, The Killers, Robbie (on now) and Madonna. Looking forward to the Who...and the Floyd.
...and not a fruit machine in sight...lol

Its a very different type of concert, not your usual charity give us some money and here's a video of poverty.
The Who (on now) not my cup of tea but sound and look excellent.
Robbie, very good entertainer!
Annie Lennox - good, but looking really old now!
Scissor Sisters - Great but sound was shite.
Mariah Carey - "It makes a difference we are here at" - fill in charity gig here - " and it means so much but here's my new song"
And i loved the interview with Jonathon Ross and Paul McCartney.
Also, Madonna was excellent.
Also, the word f**k going out to billions must be good.
And yes, I am old enough to remember 20 years ago. Queen were awesome!

It came as a shock to hear Madge using the F-word to me. Maybe the occasion got to her. Still fantastic though. Good to see Pink Floyd as well...despite that they've all got grey hair....

I wonder if they'll get back together after this... they absolutely rocked on stage!
Just watching Paul McCartney now... he's looking well old! :-) Still good though.

They're all looking old...so do I....but as long as they sound so good...let's just believe that none of us age...

Was ok , sound was crap on some performances ..
Had a good laugh when beach boys were on theve so lost the plot ..
Must admit floyd were good ..
Johnathon ross made it worth while such a funny man ..
The front crowd were boring i like to see people getting into it screaming pushing shouting getting there tits out (boring buggers)
The origanal Live Aid gets my vote ..

Cyberpunk:- alienated loner who lives on the edge of society in generally dystopic future where daily life is impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body.....Hmmmmm

It wasn't about donating money this time...It's all part of Sir Bob's great master plan to try and put pressure on the G8 leaders (most powerful 8 countires in the world apparently) who meet on Wednesday I think in Edinburgh to double the amount of financial aid we give to Africa....or is that the Olympic Committee who meet on Wednesday?
Jeez...I'm going to have to stop drinking...

The concert was very good especially The Who, Robbie Williams & The Killers.
I didn't think the crowd got as involved as they did at Live Aid (except for Robbie!)
I Think the crowd at the front were in a VIP section (I may be wrong)
Don't forget why the concert took place and sign the live8live.com petition.

A load of millionaire over privledged popstars pointing out how poor the third world is when they probably squander as much money in a month than most of us will in a life time. Elton John for example.
also how camp was Robbie, maybe he is finally about to come out of the closet lol
