Yes, mine is a i7-7700K with SSD and dedicated gfx card. It made sense mounting on the back door for accessibilty etc

Yeah, I probably would have put it where the reels went or psu, but that does make more sense. Utilising space.

Will this be any cop then? https://www.ebay.co....ffff3dd58|iid:1

I have not tried all combinations of CPUs and gfx cards so can't make any suggestions. But really you should be using a quad core CPU 3Ghz minimum to cover all bases

My 30" monitor has a resolution of 2560 x 1600 so needs a powerful CPU to drive it

Quad Core it is then, time to get bargain hunting! I presume a good graphics card too.

I don't think the graphics card makes much difference these days, you could probably get away with using the on board graphics like Reg showed in his latest video.

I couldn't as the Dell Monitor uses dual DVI only which isn't supported by the onboard gfx.

Early AMD rubbish, stick to Intel CPU

Buying a cheap underpowered machine will end in tears

Please do your own research as this will go on forever otherwise. And could end up with "But you said it would be ok" etc

Bought an, Quad Core i5 2400 @ 3.1GHz 4GB so that should do the trick. £50.00 2nd hand with free p&p. All's that will be installed on it is Windows updates and the Emulator.

My plan will be to get the coin mech and payouts working prior to sourcing a machine, then source a cabinet (anyone got one they don't want?) and buttons etc.

Hopefully it will be straight forward! Yeah right lol
