Hi guys, sorry its been a while, my pc blew up and took me ages to sort it out. Anyway ive managed to get my old roms acrtoss from my old hard drive, however, ive downloaded mfme 9.4 and every file is coming up invalid stream or something like that, any ideas on how to fix it, links etc?

hi carlos, i think most of the older layouts with a .gam file have to be opened and saved in MFME 5.1,then they should work properly,however,the preferred weapon of choice now is version 19.8 which you can get from Reg`s site desert island fruits. bear in mind if you want to use 19.8,then your computer needs to be running windows 10.hope this helps

couldn't find 19.8 but found 19 which works. Do you have a direct link for 19.8 thanks mate

It is v19. The . is the updates which some find confusing. I can't fully understand that as only the main man Wizard can.

Well it's supposed to be the only site that hosts MFME V19+ so they should have, it's not my problem if they got it somewhere else.

No worries but what I cannot understand is you have been here 10 times longer than me and you don't know the score. Not being funny but I could not imagine myself not checking in on a more frequent basis as it is where it all starts. I have noticed a number of members who joined years ago then all of a sudden reappear...... Has anyone been kidnapped or in a coma??

All part and parcel of FME, after the last big bust up, we had hardly anything new released and no new emulator, so many people just stopped coming by forums. I believe there was a big bust up here as well, with members falling out and accounts being closed.
I was really heavily into FME, but after the last general FME fall out, I used to visit The Mecca only about half a dozen times a year at most for a good few years. I eventually, could never log into Dad's for some reason, but wasn't bothered as nothing was happening anyway in FME. Eventually got it sorted and found, I'd missed months of FME starting to be incorporated within Mame. Fruit Forums, had about a dozen semi regular posters and nothing FME wise. I used to visit here maybe once or twice a week if I thought about it, instead of once or twice a day at least.
Many members only really visited one forum FME wise as well. I for instance was largely a Fruit Forums poster. I had more interaction on the forums, with Vecs, in the first weeks of MFME v5 being released, then I had for the first 6 years of his FME membership.

That fills in a lot of gaps as well as a few PM's I've had explaining the same thing. I presume there is a lot more that has happened over the many years , which to be perfectly honest, don't want to know. It has all calmed down(except for the odd blip) now and thank the stars as several threads I've read are quite shit ripping and stirring.
