This is the saddest news I have ever had announce on here. The author of MFME and good friend to many of us over the last 20+ years has died.

Such sad unexpected news, my deepest sympathy goes out to Chris and his family. Such an inspirational force to us all in FMEland, he will be missed, but never forgotton !!!

Utterly gobsmacked and dumbfounded by this news. It's absolutely awful and a very very sad day for many who have used his emulator over the years. He has truly created something magical with his emus over the years and has probably saved people millions of pounds by allowing them to play their old favourite fruit machines for free. There has been turmoil along the path for MFME but it has become a household name for fruit machine enthusiast the world over.
Rest in peace Chris and also other members no longer with us.

Yeah this was genuinely gutting news to read this morning. People drift in and out of FME due to other priorities and waning interest but Chris was an irrepressible force who worked tirelessly either away from the noise or front-of-house on the forums to make peoples' dreams come true, and because of that the scene has never been in better shape. I know very well I'll be using MFME for many years to come. I hope he knows the joy he brought to people, and the legacy he leaves behind. May he rest in peace.
