Seeing as how it is impossible to get onto the Sky News and BBC sites at the minute, basically there appears to have been a coordinated series of explosions across London, 3 on buses and 3 on the Tube network.

20 dead at the moment, lots of injured people.

My thoughts go out to those injurered, their families, and anyone who has lost someone close to them this morning.

Yes our deepest sympathies to all those affected by these incidents.

Let's just hope and pray that there are no more... and that the cause isn't what we all think it is.

I am watching it on sky news at the moment and i have friends near whitechapel and cant get through thing is i have to go to work in an hour or so and my friend had just rung up saying she is ok. What sky news is saying is it may be linked to the olympics. The army are now on the streets of london and people have been told not to move around central london

I'm with you with this one.

Close the doors, no more, no matter what. Doesn't matter what qualifications they have let's train our own docotors, builders, dentists and so on....

This is sad news, after the news of the London Olympics.

It must have wrecked the G8 meeting, how can we help the rest of the world with this on our doorstep.

truly a sad day, terrorists obviously picked this weekend as all security is focused towards gleneagles and the G8 summit. At this time all of the eyes of the world would have been on britain because of this summit. In the terrorists mind it was the time to attack.

To any of those worried about relatives in the area and cant get through remember that phone lines may be down and mobile networks will be clogged making it difficult to get through.

My heart goes out to all those effected but everyone should remember to keep their chin up, devastating as this is to our country we have to stand tall in the face of these cowardly f***ers

I just got back from Acton, west London.

I gotta change my job now, get a nice local firm - life on the road as a service engineer in London is now not for me!

My deepest sympathies for anybody and their families involved.

No need at all for this evil stupidity. I feel for all involved. 6 months ago i'd have probably been there too delivering telecoms equipment. Puts a damper on the jubilation of yesterday and the good will o live 8 at the weekend.
Thank god i'm an atheist....

I woke up this morning, and laying in bed heard the tv was on, i could here like a crowd of people, and thought instantly of a terrorist attack, but thought nah, then realised it was probably the g8 protesters or something. Then I heard the words london, explosion, feared since sept 11th and finaly major terrorist attack. At that point i texted mate askin if there was something going on, he replied back saying he jsut checked the aol homepage, and yes there was. At that point i went downstairs to see what was happening.

All day they were saying it was only 2 dead, so it shocked me that later in the afternoon it went up to 33.

Also, the most shocking part for me was when al qeada (however you spell it) annouced it on a website. I checked it on aol, and aol getting news from CNN, and CNN being sensationalist, the aol news report gave the website address, and they also translated what it said.

The site was really, really sick. On the homepage there was a photo of the bus, then a photo of two people in bandages and alot of blood. Scrolling down the homepage there were other news reports, photos of burnt out cars, towel headed people speaking, and shells of exploded building etc. from other attacks on places. I think aol said that they said that it was a blessed raid, the arabs can triumph, brits are shaking with fear, how great it was.

I think that experience will haunt me forever.

I just really dont see how anybody could do it. I mean however much they hate the government and stuff, surely they must feel some guilt for killing 33 (and probably more) people that have nothing to do with what the government says or does.

I feel I've been through the full range of emotions today and I wasn't even there.

Heard about it some time after ten this morning and at first people just thought it was an electrical surge, so nothing to worry about. Then I heard it was some bombs at which point I was shocked and worried as my wife works in London. At about the same time my wife called me to check I was OK, "Jesus women", I said "of course I'm alright I'm in Essex no where near London. Are you alright?". Hearing she was OK was an immense relief.

Then Pash phoned me to check I was OK as he knows I travel alot around and through London. And although I couldn't hear you very well because the phones were buggered, thanks for calling mate :)

Tonight I just feel angry - I've spent most of the evening explaining to my 5 year old daughter why terrorists think they have the right to kill and mame other children's mothers and fathers.

My thoughts are with the familys of those involved.

One hell (operative word) of a hard job to do with Babe's.......Now the thoughts, as you said to the families who have lost.....

Thought---what else is there?, that's it...there are no real word's to describe feeling's, I only hope one day they see a Web-Site like this, Fruit Machines!!!!!!.....and see they were in our minds from the onset.

Yeah I shed a tear........so what!

I guess we all think it can never happen to us. I work a couple of miles from Prestwick airport in Scotland. (Much smaller than Glasgow airport and therefore less of a terrorist target). All the G8 leaders have been arriving there to catch their private planes to Gleneagles. The place is surrounded by police and the army. A few girls from work who live around there have been stopped, searched, etc....I've seen all the Chinook helicopters flying overhead for the last 3 days as we're on the flight path. I'd been wondering what all the fuss was about and then this happens down South. I can't believe these people. What kind of warped, sick minds do they have? I hope these suicide bombers who worship Allah and think that the west is evil, all rot in hell....which of course, they will!!!

A sad day for Brits everywhere. My condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one or have been affected by this atrocity.
