Does anyone know how to get unbanned from DIF? I just signed up last month wanted to download latest MFME version and got banned for literally no reason. Cheers.

Hi, read the below, is there anything you did or didn't do? DIF admin Reg, does look into these forums from time to time and most of the time, it can be sorted out.

 

YOU MUST BE EIGHTEEN OR OVER.

 

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH A DISPOSABLE EMAIL - YOU MAY LOSE ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT IF YOU CANNOT ACCESS YOUR SIGNUP EMAIL OR THE ACCOUNT MAY SIMPLY NOT BE APPROVED AND BANNED - THERE IS NO REASON TO USE DISPOSABLE EMAIL.

 

...as a new member, you will need post to the Introduction forum once your account has been approved or you will shortly be moved to the Zero Posters group that will result in access being revoked from major parts of the site until you post a sensible non-spamming introduction post. Current members will then give you rep points, when you have four you will then have full access.

 

If you attempt to sign up with what looks like a fake email address - the chances are - you will not be allowed in and your account will remain inactive or just outright banned.  Sometimes we reach out behind the scenes and at other times, we simply will not approve the registration and a second account will count as a duplicate account.

 

Duplicate accounts WILL get you banned.

Facts are really important here.

 

You were not banned for no reason as you were never a member in the first place as you did not respond to the validation email.

 

1. You signed up on December 21st.  This month.

 

2. You did not complete the sign up process - you need to respond to the validation email.

 

Setup another account please as that one is toasted.

I never received a confirmation email. Maybe I clicked send confirmation again too many times and gave off a bot vibe but I just never got an email. Anyway the reason I posted is because I was completely banned from even signing up for a new account but just checked there and looks like I can now. Hopefully I actually get the confirmation email this time cheers.

Check your junk mail folders it might be hiding in there.

Trying to sign up again and still no confirmation email. Checked all folders including junk/spam. And yes I have the correct email entered.

Give Reg a chance. He has more important stuff to do, than instantly reply to your E-Mails.

I am a very patient person but if I don't get the email my account will be banned again. Like why is it so hard to send me an email?

Don't blame the site for how your spam settings were setup.

 

100's of other people don't have a problem and the system is automated when it comes to sending out emails to validate the account.

 

When you respond to that - I then approve it.

What is the new account name ?

I don't know what you mean by spam settings. I just have a normal email like everyone else. New account is DickyDoodah.

Spam settings are in email Junk / Spam.

 

Please acknowledge your sign-up email and then I will approve.

Nobody has asked you to do that.  You acknowledge the system generated email it sent you via your email.

This should be the second account you have tried based on your first message on this thread as you said you were banned and I said setup a second account.
