i would love to create layouts one day yes i will sit there and do one i suppose thats another way to gain respect.



If you ever want to try your hand at layout design you should check out my site (link in my sig), i wrote DX guides for MFME and JPeMu, an artwork creation guide and a JPeMu to MFME 2.0 conversion guide. They should help out a bit.

As for designing layouts being a way to gain respect, i totally disagree with that. Design for me has always been just a hobby, if people respect what i have done and enjoy it then it is a bonus.

I was lucky enough to have 1-2-1 on Emulating, I have seen on a fair few threads that this guide on DW was used with amazing results....then they are in the Download section as proof really anyway!

dont know what i would make as dont know what is needed, is it just conversions for mfme2 that you are after

Hurtand's guides don't just cover converting....that is just a small section. They go from dot to the finished machine.

i llok into it at some other time but what i mean was why create something thats already been done i know the reason why most of the older machines that would run on mfme2 have not been done due to lack of roms and pics.
you lot would have had a field day if you lived where i live and arcade thats no longer there threw away at least 60 -70 machines out the back and anyone could have taken them for free i did take one back but it didnt work

I think we should have a vote, a PUBLIC vote on who gets Mod status next....

I think PGamblin would be good :) (but would we have any members left after he's banned them) hehe :)

Are the stars given at preset amounts of post, or does an admin decide when to give 1 to you?

If you release a couple of layouts that are worthy, I'm sure you could be upgraded to Layout Designer, which I would guess gives you a minimum of about 4 Stars?


Am I not worthy then? How about releasing about 500 rom sets? is that worth a star? lol

Do you do crowns to go with the stars as well? ;)

Afraid crowns are only available to tournament winners in the arcade, think bens got a couple of ones he nicked from somewhere
