Although I have read this thread about it before (here) but it's still all French to me.
I have no idea if the emulator downloads I've got are correct or even which one I need to use. I've downloaded MAGE 019s and MAGE 020b
I've downnloaded all roms and put them a MAGE folder inside that another called MAGE ROMS... Now what? Anybody wanna try and hlep me? Please.....

MAGE is command line, same as MAME. You can use a MAME Frontend [such as EmuLoader], or could even write batch files for each game.
What you are supposed to do is navigate to the MAGE folder, then type :
MAGE xxxxxxxx where xxxxxxxx is the name of the game. From memory, Quintoon was
MAGE BFMQNTN [short for BFM Quintoon].
The names of the games are made to conform to the 8.3 filename format. There is a way of listing allowable game names, but I haven't clue how to do it. Something like MAGE /? in command line would be a good start.
To run it in command line mode, I recommend you sit the MAGE folder on the root of the drive [i.e C:MAGE] as it saves you all the hassle of jumping through huge foldernames and stuff.
To access a command prompt, go to RUN in the Start Menu, and type CMD

well I couldn't get mame32 to find them.
What's emuloader all about? I don't know what it does
I downloaded FIG1 double clicked on it and FIG2 appeared with C:emuloader on it. I just clicked install. Do I need to select a different folder? like MAGE > MAGE ROMS?
This is what i get (FIG4) if I double click on FIG3

MAGE is now AGEMAME, and the executable is AGE (when u run
latest version that is - see elcondor's site at mameworld.net)
Just create AGEMAME folder, put ROMS folder underneath, drag the roms
into that folder, extract source and binary to the AGEMAME folder and run
it from the command prompt ( for inst. AGEMAME>AGE xxxx, where xxxx is gamename )

It was posted a while ago that if you have the mage executable and roms in one folder, you can drag a rom on to the mage.exe icon and it should load the rom.

http://www.fruit-emu...condor/agemame/
The officially unauthorised AGEMAME rom site.
Turnover is currently not working, but will be added to this site soon.
Also, http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/ is a great site for MAME info, and AGEMAME runs exactly the same, only from age.exe instead of mame.exe
