Hi All,

Finally got round to getting a project fruit machine, picked up a pac-man power up barcrest MPU6 Machine for free local.
Previous owner said it was not turning on.
I have replaced the CR2032 back up battery and the machine boots up however I am getting the Alarm 10-70 serial coin mech missing with the audible warning CALL MANAGER.
I have tried resetting the coin mech switching to position E and back but this made no difference.
It boots and plays fine in demo mode.
Hoping a few knowledgeable people on here can point me in the right direction

so by the sound of it the mpu6 is not seeing the mech have you tried a ram test to see if it clears the error also you can go into test mode and see if it needs the key number re entered unusual if it needs it as ive never had to do it also i think you can only change the mech from parallel to serial and vice versa  using the dial and dill switches and by pressing the button but have to do it with a parallel cable also do you know if the coin mech was working before as 10-70 error could also mean its been programmed wrong as it cant take both sets of coins ie new shiny 5/10p and old none shiny 5/10p also check the dill switches on the back i have all my mpu6 done with 1 down 2 up

Thanks…The dill switches were both set in the up position, moved them as per your advice and the machine booted up fine .
The only issue is it takes the old pound coins, do you know if the coin mech can be updated or would I need to replace?
