Lots of bugfixes in this one.

It originally started out as a release for the dutch folk because button numbers 0-15 were taken by the dil switches and thus machines with low button numbers did not work properly.

American dream and a couple of others were machines to suffer this ailment, this has now been fixed.

Also, the lamp export has been updated and the reel editor now works alot better for me.

This is a beta release and has not been comprehensively tested.

Should you find a bug please report it here or at fruitforums

Enjoy ! :)

Cheers Andy.

So is Tony working on this again or is this the last we will probably see of JPeMu?

TBH he carried on working on it privately since mfme2 was rumoured to have impact in it.

Now I was kinda hoping MFME2 would be what it was cracked up to be but it wasnt and thus tonight I had enough and asked Tony to stick this one out there.

I dont know if work on jpemu will ever stop, as they say old habits die hard.

Tony hasnt done anything in a few months if thats what you mean? but he does tend to pop back now and then to add some more, albeit very slowly...

I think that now that impact in MFME has been seen, and seen that its not so good (speed issues everyone is having) that hes realised that letting this update out may not be such the waste of time he thought it would be..

Either way I hope some layouts are made on it, cos lets be honest one emu that does its job properly is better than one emu that f***s up 10 jobs.

btw Im still nagging him to finish his disc, because tbh it has to be seen to be believed.

Hopefully someday itll get done, because with that in it really is the emu to end all emus :)

Cheers Mythicos,

I haven't checked yet, but are there any known 'backwards compatibility' issues, or will it play layouts from previous versions?

Agreed. Is it a direct replacement for 2.50 or can we finally dump 1.46 for the mute layouts?

Either way, thanks for the release, I am a sucker for this particular emu. I don't understand why it had to come via such an 'indirect' route and much further down the line, but rather that than not at all.

Thanks!

Hi all.

Well, i'm one of the dutch scene so forgive me for my bad english.

I've tested a lot of jpm roms but 2.51 dos not do very much more then 2.50.
:(
I'll keep testing and let you all know.

anyway. many thanks for you to see that you are still busy to help also the dutch scene.

The layout format is identical to 2.x

So any release after 1.x should work perfectly.

I cant remember if the layout format changed post 1.x because its been so long, but it *should* (dont quote me on this) load all dev layouts.

It wont, however, load the old encrypted layouts from non dev versions (really old ones, basically)

No.

The workaround to make machines run without sound was removed from all versions post 1.4x

A newbie, so isn't aware I believe, unless it's a dupe account, looking to dig up past FME. There seems to be a lot of that just lately. ;)
