Downloaded the RAM file into the same directory as
Thunderbirds..
I then put in £100 and won £47.
Should it drop before this? How do i know the RAM file
is working correctly - there's no way of verfying its loaded
from the jpemu menu?
I haven't changed the name of the RAM file - but how does
jpemu detect the presence of a RAM file? Is it just a case of
it looking in the same dir as the loaded game for a .RAM file???
Help!

I had a JP board [actual JP, not RED feature], within about £20, followed by some REALLY good boards by anybodies standards.
My copy of the DX didnt come with a RAM file.
Start the game, and It'll create one. Take the new [downloaded] ram, and rename it to the name of the new RAM file, made when you first loaded the layout/rom. Should [according to the meters] say something about 860 in I think, although that must be wrong.
Failing that, put delay to a REALLY low number, and just force the hell out of it. Have to say I'm impressed...I couldnt get £250 out of most JPM Clubs on the emu, I.E Royal Flush club, I put £1300 in with no luck!!!

Thanks for the replies...
I believe the problem was the RAM file not being named correctly.
I should be EXACTLY the same name as the .jpm file but with
the .ram suffix obviously.
The zipfile I downloaded containing the RAM file is not named correctly. I went back to the folder - deleted TWO ram files - the one from the zipfile and one created by the game. Then I unzipped the RAM file again - this time renaming it to "Club Thunderbirds £1000 wdx [mort].ram" and started a new jpemu and loaded in the game.
Before I used up £10, I got the JP (via the winspins feature)
Cheers,
Pat/

....You have to agree that its weird, but its been played in such a way to force it out....normally putting through £1500 and accepting nothing along the way.
Its rare, but damn good when it happens....my mum put 50p in Cops N Robbers club and dropped £250 once...not many people would talk to us after, because they had teamed up and lost £50 each in it.
Serves them right, paid for the major service on one of the old Citroens :D

Well I've given this a good play with the original settings - bit stingy, but what do you expect from a club machine.
God knows how much I've put in, but I finally managed a 96 win from 20 Winspins.

I played it for about 2-3 hours yesterday thinking the RAM file was OK and expecting a JP. I must have put £700 in and got two >£100 payouts. One was a 30 win spins - netting £118 - the other was a win-streak netting £110. The next best was a £47 payout via winspins. Suffice to say, if I'd have played it in 'real life', I'd be well down and out of pocket

Worked great for me, £20 in got full line on win spins within £10 instead of screwing me with 1 more to jackpot, got a total of £1248

I know what I have written is also mentioned above but It was posted in another forum so I thought I may as well put it here too as there are 2 Thunderbird topics at the moment

Again this does work fine. To make it easy if you are not sure of RAM files etc try this.
Load the game as normal and only put £1 in, play the £ and close the game.
Now go to the 'Thunderbirds' file (where you keep your games) and open the 'Thunderbirds' one...you will see a Real One Player Presentation' called Club thunderbirds £1000 wdx [mort]
Now put the 'Cheat' file in the 'Thunderbirds' file and (if you haven't unzipped it then do now) and you will have 2 Real One Files, The newer being called just 'thunderbirds club - £1000'.
now write down the original named one (Club Thunderbirds £1000 wdx [mort] and delete it.
Go to the cheat one (thunderbirds club - £1000) and rename this as -- Club Thunderbirds £1000 wdx [mort]
Now it will work...I had £1000 on the top feature within £10...Bit boring though as the fun is taken away....So to reverse it, just delete this file and download the original ROM and it's back to normal.

Thanks guys for all the help you are providing to others with this RAM file method. It can get mighty confusing for newbies, so thanks to everyone.
I am currently using this JP ready RAM myself, but I am refusing boards and trying to do a straight cash HI LO gamble to the jackpot... no luck yet lol, i tried the same on Royal Flush, and never achieved it. Pretty sure the machine will always block this route whatever.
Thanks.

Mort the way I got it (everytime) was after about £8 it gave me enough numers for £1, this I gambled to the first exchange point and I swapped for the board. It gave 'double-up' and 'extra life' and went all the way up. Funny the only feature I haven't got it on is the cash climb?..so if it works your way then give the nod.

I've been trying to get £1000 via hi-lo after loading in the "ready to drop" RAM file. I been refusing all offers to exchange. Can I get it to drop via hi-lo?
Can I buggery...I've managed to get to £10.00 a couple of times...but that's it. Just to make sure the RAM file *is* working I've exchanged once or twice. Sure enough...its GAGGING to drop £1000.00, usually via winspins. Usually it gives you "extra life" and "double up" via the "?" feature. I've always refused and taken a low blue feature and collected a tenner (or so) and tried to go back to hi-lo.
I must have put £200 in with it "ready to drop" but it won't let you drop via hi-lo, IMO.

When you have super knockouts enabled, with double up and 2 more to go till jackpot, its impossible to get it through hi-lo, if your on 2 and go higher it will go to 1 no doubt about it, super knockouts line may be short to jackpot, but it cant be done unless you luckily land on it when theres 2 left and u got double up, the only way I can get JP is through the winspins line.

You can get it via another way, I got it on the left hand features column (with the double-up & Extra Life)

It normally gives a JP via the winspins feature, true. I've managed to get a JP by getting to the top of the blue feature, "Thunderbirds are go" and this gave me a "red streak". I got a JP by hitting on the £1000 note
Not really gone for the cash features - but I would assume its possible to get a JP by using your super-knockouts. I've not had a JP via the super-knockouts feature yet.
Anyway - I'd be interested to hear if anyone gets anywhere near a JP (£200, £500 or JP) just by hi-lo and not the feature board. I don't reckon its possible.
