Thanks Guys. ROM's installed A-OK, attract mode fine, and Credits up OK. No response to Buttons/Keys at all, therefore no gameplay.. Any suggestions??

Hi ...

I'm kinda new to this, and although I wouldn't normally dig up such ancient forum
threads, I would like a bit of help getting the emulation of Supertubes working.

(Back in the 19080's, when my parents ran a pub, out of all the fruit machines
we had in the pub over time this particular one was definitely my favourite.)

I've got the ROM files from the download link, extracted the actual .bin files to
a specific folder, and have all MFME versions installed. How do I get MFME
to run Supertubes? File - Load Game ... asks for .gam files, and if I try to
load any of the bin files via Design - ROM ... nothing happens.

What do I need to do?

You need the "game file and layout", just using the roms does nothing, try the downloads/ type in name of machine/search. that should do the trick.

Thanks, got it now ... the memories are flooding back! The sound is quite glitchy though.

Sounds best in mfme 3.2 with the autothrottle on. file/preferences/and tick the autothrottle.

Thanks for that ... but it seems no different to me in v3.2, it's still glitchy. Also, the LED display that
shows winnings and any remaining credits doesn't is totally blank in this version of MFME either.

could be if your using windows 7 or vista your sound drivers are causing the problem with the sound,i and alot of others have the same trouble with the sound on mpu 3 and earlier mpu4 machines, the sounds are perfect though using xp.
