yes but, kallam was on the motorway and u was caught on camera on a busy town/city road, that makes a big difference c90 from your photo u have more chance of killing a child on 1 lane than kallam on a motorway with 4 lanes. if u know what i mean but looking at the pic again that was a dual carrigeway u was on

yes that road was near entering essex, they have a few cameras along that stretch of road the a127, it was the last camera just before a set of traffic lights so yes i do agree i could have killed easier, to be honest i dont know why i was going that fast as it may look like im some sort of boyracer in the pic lol, but as i said before if im going to deliberatly speed ill only do it when safe to do so.

i'll be honest with u, i was banned 3 years ago for drink driving i was 42 outta 35 been the legal limit, the police do not take action upto 40 i was 2 mil over and i was banned for 1 year. i was on my way back from skegness i drove 37 miles before i got pulled on the outskirts of louth in lincolnshire it was 2.50am and there was no other traffic or pedestrian in sight.the police followed me for atleast 7 miles before they stopped me. i was firstly pulled for having my front fog lights on. then that vital question *have you had a drink tonight sir* well i knew what was coming next. i was not swerving, or been reckless in anyway i was in full control. mind u i was driving a mrx2 at the time.

did you know they were following you for 7 miles or did they tell you that, bet you were shitting yourself if you knew, yeah as i believe its a instant ban if drinking regardless of speed or location but those factors would increase the length of the ban also ban also.

another thing that happened to me is i was on my bike on the way to work few years back and got pulled for no L plate on the back, copper gave me 3 points and £30 fine for a pissy 99p L plate tried explaining to him that i park my bike in a communal garden and the neighbours dog used to love pulling my L plates off, was in a bit of a rush and didnt want to be late so didnt check before i left but wasnt speeding.

HI iam an actual Police officer (honest) from what you have stated best advice I can give is it will more than likely be a fine say around the £60.00 mark and a hefty 3 points on that old licence of yours but do not contest it as speaking from experiance the judge will hammer you...Hope this helps Kev

Id have to agree with PC Kev , A guy at work went to court as he contested the ticket , His reasons where that he knew the camera was there and therefor would not of sped past it . His argument was that the camera must be out of sink so to speak . A pc was there with a calibration certificate proving in there eyes the camera was spot on .
He got double points and £120 fine as the judge ruled if you knew it was there it was reckless driving on top .

Dont think hed contest one again ..

does that old loophole still exist where you fill out all your details but not sign it.

i believe if you do this you get a harshly worded letter stating if you do not sign you will be prosecuted/fined but its only words in the air as they cannot really do anything and are just trying to scare you into signing to incriminate yourself

does this still exist?

another good point toddy, you can ask if the camera has been calibrated if it has not i think you can get away with it but you must be careful like you said dont accuse the camera of being wrong. ask for the certificate frst

You could try asking for the certificate first , But iam not sure who calibrates them if its independant then maybe just maybe you may get lucky .
But if its calibrated by the police dont think theyd own up to it being wrong and a quick certificate knock up am sure would be on the cards , Not that the police are corrupt in any way :)

my advice dont contest it...magistrates will hammer you, ban or very hefty fine.

Take the fixed penalty.....a slapped wrist is better than catching the bus everywhere.
Cyberpunk:- alienated loner who lives on the edge of society in generally dystopic future where daily life is impacted by rapid technological change, an ubiquitous datasphere of computerized information, and invasive modification of the human body.....Hmmmmm

i agree with u pc kev, but each magistrate is different and i find that it depends if they have had a shite night the night before. i know there is guidelines as to what they can impose, there is a min and a max sentence, u should know that as we all do.
