OK my mums friend has just dropped off a bouqet of flowers for me to give to her when I go up hospital tonight to see her after her operation.
What do I do with them, do I stick them in some water? do I just leave them, can you stick them in water with the packet still on??
Yes I am thick but I dont usually get flowers delivered to me

Easy one that cut some of the plastic away say about 1 inch from the bottom cut the stem so that the stalk is at an angle like this / then put them in some water that'll keep them so that they look ok.
PS don't ask why I know this shite I'll lose street cred :|

TRUMPET VINES. I have 2 trumpet vines in my yard that are well established. Should they be pruned back and how much? It appears as if they flower only on new growth. Any tips?
Also any ideas to stop slugs and caterpillars from eating my nasturtiums and Dwarf Rhododendrons?

*shudders at thought of going to a hospital*, i dont have many fears, but hospitals are one of them, the smell of disinfectant, all the white, the old people in beds, the corridors...... instruments of torture.
