I've just been reading the arcadia message and their seems a lot of shit going around, i was wondering if Ben could tell us what its all about. Police, suicide etc it all seems f***ed up to me
Well I jumped into the river
Too many times to make it home
I'm out here on my own, an drifting all alone
If it doesn't show give it time
To read between the lines

Ok, quick rundown.

1) Partytime lost his Moderator postition at Fruitchat for giving out his password to anyone willy-nilly.
2) Partytime told people he was commiting suicide. He claims he did so to 'make friends'
3) He stopped replying to Emails and PMs, and didn't log into his normal sites.
4) He made an alias account on many sites, called 'mark c', and told everyone that 'Partytime' was in hospital and had a 30% chance of survival.
5) He then told everyone [using the 'mark c' alias] that 'Partytime' was dead.
6) He started up threads on Fruitchat, Superarcadia, and several other sites, telling people that 'Partytime had killed himself because Bencrest and Fader had used his password to go into the mod area of fruitchat and he lost his moderator position] - you can trust me when I say this is a lie, while he did give me his password without requesting it to help him, I never used it at all, let alone to view any VIP area.
7) He started up a website called 'who killed pt', in which he posted in my name, giving my name, address, and telephone number. He told users to 'get me'. He then did the same on Superarcadia.
8) As soon as I was aware that my personal details were being published online, and as Superarcadia isn't moderated, I called the police, and raised a breach of Terms and Conditions notice with NTL, his service provider.
9) Superarcadia have now removed my public details from the site.

Thats about it so far. I have 40 pages of evidence here ranging from IRC chats, with IP addresses, hostmasks, e.t.c., in which he admits to everything sans duress, and I have plenty of other stuff.

As to whether or not I drop charges I haven't made my mind up.

I hope people will agree that potentially jeopardising my family's safety is something which I can't ignore, even if he does have 'moderate learning difficulties'.

I guess the most important thing to bear in mind is that no-one actually got hurt from this, and Partytime will be learning a valuable lesson, even if it is just a ticking off from the ol' bill.

Regards,

Ben

As I said Ross, this was a step too far. He got my personal details from an eBay transaction and told people to 'get me' using those details, which is my parents address, and they can do without any hassle.

ok, so its not a life and death issue to be dealt with right now, phew!

Ben, Do the world a favour... PRESS CHARGES.

I would. You need to.

Nothing to worry about, you can do it with a clear conscience. PRESS CHARGES.

No one has the right to act like that, pt is a prat, and stop using "difficulties" as a excuse for him, thats his trick, learn real life, AND PRESS CHARGES.

Do it - PLEASE - or he will do it to others who are less capable of coping with it than you are, and maybe they will be driven to suicide.........

Get him done for his actions. If the judge says its not his fault then fine, you did the right thing, and he will get help, but at the end of the day, any court action that does occur, you can be assured you have me as a witness, and many others im sure.

IF YOUR SAFETY has been compromised, and its a prolonged bout of idiocy, then do the world a favour, PRESS CHARGES.

Dont be a wuss, thats what he is hoping for with his pathetic I have problems stance. For f0cks sake if he had those problems he would not be able to cause as much damage as he is doing, he KNOWS what he is doing.
STOP HIM FOR EVERYONES SAKE.

Be a mod in real life, press charges.

Against whovever it is...

Partytime, or pt05, or whoever, who knows who is who these days.

I may have misunderstood and thought at first it was pt causing the problem, but whoever it is, stop them - press charges, your details should not be made public along with instructions threatening you or anyone else.

Whoever it was, report it to the police.
Let them take it further if it needs to be, let them make the decision.

I agree.

It is only fair you guys know what is what. I hated being kept in the dark on all this, so I am doing my best to keep you informed, to let you know that noone is injured or worse, and that I am now dealing with the problem.

This matter is all in hand as far as I can tell, so theres no need to turn this into a pt05 flame war :)

Regards,

Ben

Just to reiterate, press charges.......

Seriously. If your parents can do with out the hassle, press charges, and
stop him from doing it again, either to you, or anyone else?
Do you really think he will learn from whatever you say to him? Doh he has learning difficulties (yeah right, and Im mother teresa) so know he wont learn, he has proven that.

PRESS CHARGES.

Or have it on YOUR conscience when he really f***s up a innocent member of this forums life when he targets them next.

BTW You guys are aware this has nothing to do with money? At the most I'd want £50 to cover 2 days of wasting my time trying to collate information from various sources and having to follow him across the net.

Time which could have been spent... ummm... playing Bubble Bobble?

Eh what has money got to do with it?

If someone posts personal information and says go get em, then thats a threat against you. Nothing to do with money.......

What has money got to do with your parents peace of mind?

Press charges, or make sure he never appears in the forum again, as if he does, and a mod knows what could happen, there is one hell of a lawsuit waiting against duplu. [edit not from me, but it could come from someone else, if they get attacked, saying that, if I got attacked, then yes, i would proably sue if the mods knew the score and they did nothin]

If it was me, and he put myself or my family in any danger, he would be up on charges, AT THE LEAST.

Some of the people I was discussing my position with earlier were of the opinion that I should sue him - thats not what this is about, I don't go for this American 'Compensation Culture', and at best I would be able to sue for wasting my time, which considering I would have wasted it anyway, is worth about 5p :)

I don't think he can appear in this forum anymore, stuff has been put in effect to stop it, and from contact with 'Partytime' it appears to have worked.

Also, Duplu shouldn't be liable for the content of this site in anyway at all, just like it isn't Superarcadias fault that 'Partytime' stuck my details on there. They are there to provide a bulletin board, and nothing else :)

Nutters need to be put in there place.

hmmmmmmm.
this is a strange affair.. i did say over at ff the other day when it first kicked off to ignore the poor lad(i say that because there is a reason for his actions. not you ben.but he has a condition).poor old ben once again has been the main target over on ff and a few other sites...
hopefully if the police are involved and ntl withdraw isp, then this will hopefully sort itself out.

i would personally press charges..it might give his parents/carers a kick up the arse and realise just wat he is getting upto...

madman,

I post a open letter to the parents of pt05.
Please explain, along with a copy of a doctors letter, his condition

I would like to see proof of this condition, and proof from a doctor, that he has no control....

Then I would like to see why his carers, or parents have allowed him on the net, if they are aware of his condition.

Its a simple question to the people who are supposed to be caring for this person.

If they cant answer, then why not?

Come one folks, smell the coffee and wake up.

This is the real world, I have depression, and I can be a major prat, but
this is taking the piss. If this is a genuine problem, then lets get it sorted.

I dont believe it is though, I think its a twat winding people up.
