I hate Crystal with a passion, with their rather stupid Export Memory card requirement on Impact based machines, to which is the problem I have right now

Yep, bloody inconsiderate of them to add odd bits of hardware and make things awkward

Problem I have got right now, is I have the Crystal version of Big Bucks, but have a UK Impact v1 memory card fitted with the JPM version roms, so although it works fine, the wins do not match up at all to the top glass.

Think reason for the Export card requirement, is Crystal have set up the roms to run with a GAL chip, which the UK memory cards don't have, but the export version does.

TBH I am not all that keen on games that are simply a hi - lo arrangement to progress on the top board features, and would rather have a trail based game, but I ended up with this as a part-ex deal with a member from the mecca.

However, been chatting to Dave from Mr P's Amusements, and he thinks he maybe able to source me this export card, so I am hoping he can help when I go visit his establishment week on saturday when I go down with matty_n and crazybar.

It played perfectly to a degree as Money Trail....
All the lights were in sequence (even though the glass was wrong)
and the reels spun perfectly (again wrong reels)
However all the sounds were wrong, you got random sound rom sounds in all the wrong places
E.g When you pushed start and the reels spun, you got a jackpot theme, when you pushed a hold
button you got weird feature noises?
We never solved it in the end, but would be interesting to hear from anyone who could
help as to what went wrong and how we solve it?
We were so close that day bringing Money Trail back to life, but it just didn't QUITE happen

Never heard of a Money Trail on the Impact platform..... did you mean Money Talks, because if so, we deffo do have roms for that.
