I have heard today that No Blockades will take place, only Demonstrations

I have driven round 6 petrol stations this lunchtime and they are all shut.....

Why is everyone panicking.....

P.S If it was my choice, Id run out on purpose. Excuse for No Work and it would keep you fit walking back and forward to the pub.!!

If you reading this Gordon Brown, Stop f*****g around spending all our precious tax money on whores and nights down the dogs. Listen to peoples views and do something about it,

Lyeing Scum Bags...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S Post your Vote. How Much is a fair price to pay for Fuel.

Yup if anything causes a shortage it'll be the panic buying. This buying also only serves the purpose of proving there are plenty of people desperate enugh to stump up at current prices.

You can always count on the panic mongerers for good entertainment.

They'll be buying up all the bread and milk soon from the supermarkets - these people have not one brain cell between them.

I tried getting some fuel yesterday as I had to go to Ashford, nearest station only had two pumps on and a huge backload of people waiting, I just managed to push my way in as the next one in line was too dozy busy fiddling with his radio so I jumped in much to his annoyance he he:D.

But I got the battle scars on my car to prove it, I got wedged in between a pole and the pumps trying to turn in from the entrance, nothing a bit of t-cut wont sort though.

At no point have the protesters said that thay were going to blockade the refinerys this time, thay have carefully worded all of there statements to make sure that blockades were never mentiond. It was the press yesterday that were saying that blockades were going to happen, all thay have said is thay will stage protests at refinery's. There have not been any large queue's at garages around here as of yet but thay may be tonight. As tomorrow is the day the protests are going to start.

i agree, if ppl r stupid enough to panic buy at the prices as they stand at the moment, u will never see a reduction in price end of story.

stupid thing is there is actually quite a hefty amount of oil available around the world to continue our supplies for many years to come.

The problem is that technology has not extended to a point where it is economically viable to extract said oil.

Blimey who would have thought those years studying geology at uni would be put to use on a fruit machine emulation forum :D

i heard a few months ago that a new oil well had been located of the coast of peru or chile that would keep the worl in oil for the next 45 years.

so the running out isn't a problem.

the goverment take between 47p and 50p for every pound you spend at the pumps

........ The government takes the bloody piss, it's true what they say about this country.... "Born free, Taxed to death"

I bet they won't take the prices back down after the supply problems disappear either.

Its all bollocks!, there's more than enough petrol in reserve. The only reason some stations are closed is because "panic" buyers are taking fuel quicker than the distributers can deliver it.

soon it'll be cheaper to drive all the way to a pump in America to fill up lol.
Dwight: I'm Shellie's new boyfriend and I'm out of my mind. If you so much as talk to her or even think her name, I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman.
Jack Rafferty: You're making a big mistake, man. A *big* mistake.
Dwight: You made a big mistake yourself... you didn't flush.

This really made me angry yesterday. I carnt believe just how thick and stupid some people are. It really shows how certain people just dont listen to what is being said. Yesterday was my normal fill up day and I had to mess about trying to get fuel because of people stressing FOR NO REASON. In any case the protests was put back from Wednesday to Friday. I actually agree with protests because most of it (60%) goes to a bunch of stupid people, who I might add live in a life of luxary and who couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery. God help us if this is what this country is coming to. Think me will emigrate.
