OK yesterday some coins got jammed in my up and over, so I had to take apart of mech to unblock them. Some still got blocked and the strim alarm kept going off. but it seems to be ok now, apart from one thing.
The coins have gone mental, silver coins are sometimes dropping into the £1 coin hopper, pound coins are sometimes going into boxes at the botton, sometimes they just come flying out and bounce around inside the machine.
Any ideas?

Also make sure the hardware is refitted correctly, ie. check that the coin mech. is lined up with the hopper and the cash box tubes.

Its lined up, but all pound coins are now going into the bottom trays.

right there should be 2 plugs that plug into the coin mech.
there should be a black one which is the routing plug (which plugs into the mech only) and white one which is the sorter overide(which plugs into the mech but has 1 or 2 wires coming out of it and connects to the mech loom wiring)
its possible that the sorter overide plug isn't plugged in properly as this puts all coins into the cashbox when its not seated properly.

Theres a white one plugged in, but theres to black ones hanging lose, one says mars and the other says coinscon??
Both black ones fit into the plug but neither make any difference, its also not taking any coins at all, well only about 1 for every 50 or so put in.
I think it might of just of buggerd itself.

did you plug anything into the coin mech when the machine was still on???
if you did then you may now have a faulty coin mech.
doublecheck the other plug(the black one) on the coin mech just to make sure you haven't missed or bent a pin.
if its all plugged in correctly and still faulty then yes your mech is fecked.

:/
Problem sorted now, i was going to buy one from baz this weekend, but decided to try and fix it, so after all yesterday afternoon taking things apart ect. i finally found the mars plug was in the wrong way. soemthing that could of been fixed in a few seconds.
I found a refill key i lost though, it was inside the hopper, must of dropped it in when putting in pound coins.

Surely that would have been a little disastrous if it tried to pay that out?

I found a bulb in my hopper, but never a refill key...

i knew it would have either been the routing plug in wrong or the sorter override not seated properly.
