Bencrest - I closed your Font, Size, Color, Bold and Italic tags - for future reference, if you open say an Italic tag [ I] (without the space), you need to close it with [/ I] (again, without the space)

I smoked for 15 years but managed to give up 4 years ago. It was prob one of the hardest things I have had to endure and I had trouble sleeping to start with (I found a few shots of Captain Morgan did the trick for sleeping). After a few weeks I started to detest the smell of smoke and turned in to one of the worst antismokers ever, just ask my friends lol.
I feel so much better for doing it and have saved a load of money as well. Keep it up.

WD you're an inspiration. I'm now motivated more than ever to try and give up again.
I gave up last year for 9 months - I didn't plan to or anything, I just stopped and then for some bizarre reason I really craved again and started again. I was stupid, that's for sure.

Thank god i'm an atheist....

I really need to quit smoking, girlfriend had to quit smoking cos of her medical condition (probably contributing to her 5th admission to hospital this year last saturday). However she currently in Bristol in 3rd year at uni, which gives me nearly a year to give up

iv'e smoked for 19 years and i'm proud of it, it stops me havin nightmares about my ex wife...lol
i smoke 60 a day and i'm still going strong
we all die 1 day of summit or other but i'd rather die happy as i enjoy smoking.
call it ignornance call it what u want. but i'm happy :-)
i tryed a none smoking clinic once and it was a total waste of time and tax money.

think dennis leary put it well:
You always get these non smokers telling you how each cig takes 2 mins off your life, so with your smoking you could take ten years or more off your life.
Well good, its the ones at the end, its the adult nappy wearing, keep pisisng myself, havent had an erection in ages years. You can keep them f*****g years, i dont want em

I stopped smoking and used the nicotine patches and got weird dreams.
Told the doctor and they said take the patch off when ur asleep and put another on when you wake up.
That sorted it out

reckon i'll use the transdermal patches when they move over to the microdot matrix patches instead, rather have the smaller patch then them hulking great ones they do at the moment.

currently they use reservoir or matrix patches which are pretty damn big at the moment, but dot matrix patches are new out on the market, average size is about size of your fingernail. Currently they only use them in one area though and it aint nicotine patches

I smoke and I enjoy doing so. I will decide when to stop, not some politicians who have raked in my tax cash for years. Yes I know it's bad for me....but so are car fumes and they don't ban those do they? Even though I don't drive. I live in the West of Scotland where the smoking ban comes into place next March I think. They obviously haven't thought it through properly. There will be bloody anarchy in the streets and pubs will go bust. People will DIE!!! I would advise all non-smokers not to venture out into the streets when this ban kicks in.

eh?
if you mean the dennis leary quote it was following on from you saying you enjoy smoking, it reminded me of a stand up show that he did in which he says how much he enjoys smoking?!??!?
