try dslzoneuk
www.dslzoneuk.net/isp_ratings.php
shows a league table of all isps
or there is a search function on there that you can search for specific things i.e speed/capped?/contention ratio/price that you want from your isp
just click on ISP comparison

Can't reccomend Pipex enough.
Dwight: I'm Shellie's new boyfriend and I'm out of my mind. If you so much as talk to her or even think her name, I'll cut you in ways that'll make you useless to a woman.
Jack Rafferty: You're making a big mistake, man. A *big* mistake.
Dwight: You made a big mistake yourself... you didn't flush.

I know this dont help you now, but talktalk always have really good offers. I have been with them for 4 months and not one complaint. I got the March Madness deal.. 14.99 a month for unlimited 1 mg BB plus all evening and weekend calls FOC., Cant moan at that.

I'm currently on Plusnet, they do a £14.99 2Mbit thing, notice that it throttles P2P so you won't get more than say 15kb/s if you download over P2P and Newsgroups, but direct downloads, webpages and emails and stuff are about 230>250kb/s.
I'm on Premier, which is 2Mbit for £21.99, basically Plus [with no P2P or Newsgroup throttling] and up to 100GB per month usage, and at 6:20pm this after noon, I am on 99.41GB used this month, with about 30 hours left... oops

Can't really fault ukonline. I'm on 2meg uncapped but they do up to 8meg uncapped. 100 meg of webspace with that as well although you have to ask for it when you've filled your first 10 meg.
Only problem I have is i keep getting "page not found" when surfing the net when I know for a fact the websites are online (usually happens when I'm hogging upload bandwidth with bittorrent - maybe my own fault).
Must say though, I used to think telewest/blueyonder were the dog's nads when I had that, shame i'm no longer in their area.

I can't remember if the end of this month [regarding my PlusNet connection] is midnight tonight, or midnight tomorrow night.
As you can tell from this, I'm edging closer to that 100GB limit, and, for example, if I restart a PC, I need to ensure NO P2P software has fired up automatically that can make me go over the 100GB threshold.
Who would have thought that not downloading music/tv e.t.c. was harder than downloading it?!!

Damn that was close... thank god thats over!
I need to set myself a 20GB P/W limit I think
Anyway, clean slate from today, if they email me telling me I hit 100GB they can fook off, I don't do 'nearest gigabyte' rounding!

Ive been with telewest/blueyonder for about 3 years now and ive had very few problems with them..I was on 1MB for about a year and a half or so..for £25 a month..cashflow problems meant we had to downgrade to 512kb for £17.99 a month.
Now they have given everyone a free upgrade 512 went to 2MB...
1MB went to 4MB...and 2MB went to 10MB..yep thats right 10MB
So if its avalible in your area i would look into that..Cant complain at that..although if i had stayed on 1MB i would be on 4 right now..
Hope this helps
