If you were to buy this machine 2nd hand how much money would it cost approximately?

£200 is how much one went for last week on ebay.

your very unlikely to be able to get one of these, hardly any new machines like this are available, and if the are they probably would be right the other end of the country.

I was quite shocked by some of the prices these have been fetching, far lower than I anticipated.

You probably could get one fairly easily, although a supplier would probably rather hang on to one of these which are still popular with players than let it go cheaply...

I'm not sure you'd have any luck with a major supplier as you are a member of the public, but it may be worth contacting local suppliers to see if they have any of them...

I actually brought one today on ebay for £285, free delivery, 90 days warranty etc. - just checking whether this price was ok.

The price stayed at £230 up until a few minutes to go - shame the price shot up by £50 in the last few minutes. But as Dave says above its not very often a machine like this becomes available locally.

I do agree with you Bencrest, some of the newer machines are selling a lot less than what you might expect.

i sold an amiga accelerator card `blizzard 060 70mhz` which i expected to fetch a good £50. in the last 3 minutes it went upto £150.

i was laughing all the way to the post office :)
