I know there have been many threads on where are people from but found this map service that looks quite good.

Basically you just add your name and it sticks a pin in the world map to show where you are from.

I have set one up for FME and the link is http://www.risingcon...com/frapper/fme


Also if you wanted you could add a link direct to the map with this code



Or of course just ignore it

It said it for me too. If you live in a Town, it will not work.

Which is kind of stupid. It should have the option Town/City.

hehe well its not perfect, it seems to think Dover is near Norwich.

Least a few people seem to be adding themselves, should have quite a covered map of the UK at this rate

I got it sussed eventually. Just used IE instead of Firefox, and it registered ok.

With photo too which is nice.

Still not working for me, any chance its cause ben has put in peterborough?? Can each city only be used once?

There were two reasons why it didn't register properly for me Dave - which were:

1, I was using Firefox instead of IE
2, After you've typed in your Town/City - a tab underneath that should come up displaying your town/city/country in full.

So if you typed in "Peterborough" it will say "Peterborough, England (United Kingdom)"

It has got be exactly like that, or it won't register.

Zoom into this and the images are actually from google earth anyway Ross I think!!!(you can see the 'watermark' or is that the beer?)
