Just thought I'd bring this thread back up Ady as I saw this amazing footage filmed in Australia. You've probably seen it already, but hey it's the thought that counts....lol

Me and my friend was out in a field in Grimsby about 10 years ago when a meteor exploded in the sky. It was an amazing site, it burst into loads of peices. That same night we was one of the first few to spot that comet that came close bye in 1995/6 with his home made 12inch refractor telescope.

wow that was pretty impressive Gaz,

JAMESLOWELOVESJAYNE saw something similar to me, about 5 years ago I was working nights driving over the top of the South Downs (basically above a 360 degree view 200' above the surroundings) and One shot from behind my lorry burning up into bit's what seemed to be on the Channel, but I'd imagine was really well up in the atmosphere around Southern France/Spain.....

tbh I crapped myself nearly, a great sight but it really was freaky as it's so unusual and as I was in the middle of nowhere too.

What gets me is how something so small and so far up can still create the effect that it's crashing into the surface of our planet.

I've never had the privilege to see something like that but I'd love to. A UFO however is a different matter (don't get me started..lol).
