Happy new year to you all.............

What machines are we expecting to be emulated in 2006?......At any time during the next twelve months will there be any more news about MPU5 or is that 3006 rather than 2006!?!?!

What machine would you like seen to be emulated?

The Sp.Ace is under construction!!!!!!!!:D
I wonder where that "Seven" guy went to. He was doing something about Epoch, and then totally vanished!

Any chance of 'Vamp It Up' mister?

2006 sould be a continuation of what we've already got with the added bonus that we are collectively moving forward at a fine and decent rate.

The enthusiasm is back as we seem to have finally matured and developed some sort or morality. Emulation is indeed bringing back from the dead, machines that no one would ever play again. A fine reason for emulation in my books.

What I'd like to see in 2006 is for people across the scene who maybe a little too young to remember the forthcoming techs, to really have a go and play layouts from what in my opinion was probably the greatest time in the fruit machine history. Theres no doubt that when the latest emulator is released, we will have the oportunity to emulate the greatest fruit machines that ever was during the greatest period in fruit machine manufacturing history. To get the feel and to understand why the late 80's to the early 90's was a bright time for so many of us older people.

Sure, 20p play and £4.80/£6 jackpots by todays standards is small fry but true emulation isn't always about trying to grab that £25 JP or to get the streak by being in the right place at the right time like in the real world and to do it for free via emulation. There really is so much enjoyment in trying to achieve those jackpots on Proconn and Sp.Ace machines. The key word here is 'enjoyment' of course. Modern machines tend to max out at 5 x JP on a streak. A sight to see indeed but you wait until you get £50 out of a £4.80 machine. Now thats like a streak of 10 jackpots. Something I've seen more times than the streaks that happen today. My Jackpot 7's has a regular £30 token streak that seems to come around every £100 or so. Theres a few little signs that the trained eye and trained ear can detect when such a streak has begun.

So if theres one thing I ask for in 2006, that would be for everyone young or old, to play ALL the older machines released rather than simply avoiding them or discarding them because they are old. You really don't know what you're missing. Plus you'll finally realise what Fruit Machine Emulation is all about.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

PS CrazyBar, Compost knows full well that VIU is MPU5 :)

Hi all

From what i have been reading and seeing over at the mecca the next version of the Emu is to feature both Procon and SPace tech. For any one out there who dont know there MPU3 from there System 80 (are there any), what this means in machine terms is that all of the classic ace machines like open the box, twilight zone and grand national will be able to emulated, and on the proconn side this means all of them classic low techs from Project Coin, will be comming to a PC near to you (these include 777 heaven, rags to riches, fortune wheel, jokers wild, treasure trail, bullseye and checo the bandit to name but a few of the many machines of that era by project) there is no date as of yet for the release of this version, but there are some screen shots of both project and ace machines over at the Mecca so pop over there and have a look if you want to know more.

Hi

I know the machine you are talking about but i dont think it was called party time could be wrong), It was made by BFM and was around the time of OFAH, so would be the same tech as those machines, so could be emulated if the roms could be found, we had one in our local Regal amusements it could do a a nice £50 streak if you caught it right.
