Hi there,
I've just discovered the site, and thought only polite to post an intro.....Plus I want to pick your brains
I'm an old school gamer, 40+, and love the emulation scene. I have MAME, and also VP (Visual Pinball) and play both regularly.
It'd be great to be able to play some of the classic Fruit Machines of my youth - as well as some more upto date ones I remember from UK pubs.
I'm currently living in New Zealand - and they have Pokies(like Australia) - I've never got into these at all - They just seem to involve pressing start ad infinitum....Borrrrrring in the extreme I find.
I've downloaded the following emulators - MFMEv3, JPeMu & BFMulator.
These have come with a few games - but not the ones I remember (with the exception of JPM's Indiana Jones). So I'm really looking for a site s that can A. Refresh my memory as to machines of yore, and B. Tell me if they've been emulated (and what to play them on, where to obtain DXs and sssshhhhh.....Romeo Oscar Mike Sierras....
I came across a site called Dads FME Forumswhich is meant to have a database of emulated machines. I registered to join and received an email saying I'd have to wait for approval of my application before I could view...Still waiting unfortunately.
Oh - Another site/book/info I'm looking for is the history of the UK machines with athe landmark machines, features, developments etc. Be great if someone could point me in the right direction.
Anyway - Enough rambling for now.
Thanks in advance,
HOW

Hi all,
Found this forum by accident a few weeks ago, I was actually looking for a real fruit machine for the spare room upstairs and one of the links brought me here. Well....since then I've become totally hooked! Talk about memories, some of the machines on here I remember playing years ago in my carefree days (days when I could actually afford to play the machines, before the Mrs and kids came along lol). Many thanks to all those that create the machines/roms ect and upload them to this site and the creators of this site for hosting it all! I'll never be bored again with all the stuff on here.
Paul.

Hi im new to this site and I look forward to getting to know everyone.
My mate pointed me to this place a long time ago but I never got round to joining.
I understand the way this all works and I look forward to being there to help members etc.
I was just looking at the donation section and would like to donate. What does the annually mean. Does it mean I will have to pay the donation once a month? Also Is it automated as im not the richest person in the world and just like to put what I can to things I enjoy.
Thank you for your time

Hello and welcome to fruit emu. With regards to the donations I believe there is gold, silver and bronze and it is a yearly donation. £5 a year gets you bronze £10 a year gets you silver and for £20 a year you get gold. Also when you donate you increase your daily download limit according to your donation.
Hope that helps you and hope you enjoy yourself on the forums, feel free to ask any questions.

Hey guys, I'm Max!
I've been playing the 5p/10p fruit machines for years at an arcade just for fun! I've found the site now and would really like to pick your guys brains!
Hope to be about for ages finding things out & hopefully giving something back in return (eventually lol)!!
Seems a great forum & happy I have joined. I have never owned a machine, but I am currently having a good look about the local area. I enjoy the old £5/£6 jackpot machines
