new here and thought i'd drop in and say hi,
glad to see there's so many like minded people around
am hoping to get some morale support as i begin another silly project,
have been into emu's for a while now and so far have converted a ridge racer arcade cabinet (over 30 games), dancing stage euromix dance machine (12 different titles) and bally electra pinball table (now over 20 tables) to fully working emulators in the respective genre's.
now am begining to build my own fruity,
so would be good to have a shoulder to cry on when it all goes wrong....
also just brought the internals from a maygay ITBOX so at some point would like to get back to fixing that.
so, hi all, the weekends here and i'm gonna be stuck at home till i clean up my mess..........

Hi my name is Lee,
My online name is [NiNjA]UK or in some forums Ninja-uk , I am one of the admins over @ prettyboo.com a nzb site for usenet.
I am full time single dad of 3, I am a part time website designer , network engineer and PC technician, I live in Sunny Weston-Super-Mare (or Weston-Super-Mud as we like to call it), originally I am from Bristol.
Been playing fruit machines for as far back as I can remember, although I prefer to play the real thing then then emulators, however I am enjoying them so far.
Just finally got the bug for making my own mini arcade for me and my 3, although if things carry on well, then I shall be moving into a bigger house with my Girlfriend and her 2 , and all 7 of us love arcades !.
In the past couple of weeks I have purchased a Monopoly fruit machine (60th anniversay edition one JPM) and a Simpsons fruit machine (Maygay), I only want to collect fruit machines that me and the kids like the sound of. I dont want to pay alot for them, and think I had a bargain with a semi working Monopoly machine for £31 (plus £40 costs to collect it), and £70 for the simpsons (plus £20 delivery).
We are on the hunt for a penny pusher, and more el' cheapo machines, I am not technically minded enough yet to repair them, however I can change bulbs (hence the semi working monopoly one!).
I have had great help already here on my first problem http://www.fruit-emu...html#post167528
And no doubt will be posting more asking for help , advice and best places to buy things.
My future 'projects' include making a Mame Arcade machine, and I have already started designing a touch screen MP3 jukebox, to look like the original thing, but customised the way we like it
Proud to be part of this community !
My machines so far (sorry for the crappy phone cam shots):-

Hello to you all, I just love playing fruit machines but as many of you realise they can be very expensive hobbies - so why not play them for fun - well here I am and thankyou.

Hi all,
I'm not even going to remotely claim that I know how you guys create the emulators and games, but a huge thanks to all of you - really appreciate your work.

Hello everyone lol. As a new member I thought Id stop by and say hi.
I have relatively low hours on fruit emulators but looking at this site I think I may just get hooked. But my main reason for joining is because I have a real machine I'm having a headache with and with any luck may get some sound advice on here.
So back to me .. I'm 35 , live in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. I work in a petrol garage and I'm a singleton
I've owned a fruit machine in the past when I was younger and really wish I'd understood the true value of them at the time (I broke it into pieces and junked most of it - and it was working perfectly at the time:arghh: ) It was necessary because I was moving house and couldn't take it with me. The machine was a Crown Jester I bought from an arcade in Skegness when I lived there for a while.
Anyway thats me so, again, Hello all

Hey - people do use this thread... ah well, I'll say hello myself.
My name's Ross and I'm an alcoholic. No, wait, wrong speech.
I live in Harrogate, Yorkshire, I'm 29 (god, depressing - 30 next) and I've loved the fruties since I can remember going on holiday to the coast in the early 80s. Had my first machine when I was 10 at home... an old tuppeny nudger, tube payout, single motor driving the reels, and 3 big foff solenoids to stop the reels. How it knew where they were, I never figured out.
Next was a Rocky Horror machine when I was 18 (10p/£15 I think) and now I'm on a MayGay Club Fruit'n'Nudge, which I'm ready to get rid of, if anyone wants to make an offer on it.
I'm in the IT / AV business pretty much, installations, consultancy ranging from hotels, clubs, bars, etc... officially an IT Engineer by trade. I have a sad fetish for touchscreens. My latest item on my wishlist is a nice £500er for my conservatory...
So that's me... no doubt I'll be seeing y'all around
