Hi everyone,

 

I'm new to this site and have found it interesting. I came across this site when I was lloking for my fave machine 'Red Hot 6' which I cannot find anywhere anymore. I'm looking to play on it with the emulator from this site.

I'm a complete newbie to all this. I have found and downloaded the Red Hot 6 file but what else do I need to play it.

Hi Leo

Welcome to the site. May I suggest you read one of the help files on how to run your first emulation, but as a clue, you need an emulator to go with the game file you have downloaded.

Good luck and post again if you still have problems.

It is a JPM machine, but you need the MFME emulator.  Try using this wizard

I am not sure which MFME will run Red Hot 6, but I tend to try 3.2, followed by 10.1, followed 2.0.  3.2 is the easies as it has an auto-sizer and an auto-throttle option, BUT it doesn't run the more modern machines (relatively speaking).

Another silly question. I've managed to get the game running, but I'm not sure how to obtain credit to play? Is it just a test bed or can I actually play the game? Thanks again!

Generally there are short cut keys. 0 is the usual key to add credits, space bar to start/gamble and 1, 2 and 3 to hold. I will load the layout myself later and check. Did the layout to into attract mode after booting up and which version of the emulator are you using?

Hello everyone, long time been registered on this site, I admit I used to just download the game ROM's from here, as I used to love Playing arcade machines when I was younger, and thought this forum was a nice place to get those games on my computer and play from home and save money.

 

I guess, you could say this is to make sure I can re-download them again, to become a "leecher" if you want, I guess that's what I am, can't really help that, I'm sorry.

 

Nevertheless, I tend to come on this site often, and I see it's still doing as well, as it did in 2013 when I first registered.
