It's about time we had a new poll, the old one has been up for ages and is no longer relevant.
So who is your favourite manufacturer of all time anf if you want to why not post why.
I'm going to go for JPM for the classic machines they put out in the early nineties like Indy, Money Talks, Rollercoaster and Red Alert.

Gotta be Maygay as my first choice here... mostaly down to their great way with sound samples, & good gameplay.... Old ACE machines comming in a close second with their fantastic layouts with the DOT MATRIX BOARD.

Hmm, very difficult this is.
My heart is yelling out "say barcrest, youd better say f*****g barcrest" but it's not that easy.
The first machine I 'played' (IE was old enough to play and not stand and watch) was lineup.. so thats strike one to crest for making the best machine of all time.
But then I must acknowledge BWB for their quite frankly *perfect* use of lesser MPU3 machines for rebuilds.
The fantastic Rat Race, Goldmine, Winstrike, Chase IT ! and so forth all spring to mind, they were just great ways to spend the summer days when I was a kid and couldnt be arsed to walk the 3 miles to the beach.
A quid, a f***in quid could last all day....
Then there are marvels of design like Sidewinder by ACE and Take 5ive by crest (both I believe were the very first video fruits) that simply cant go un-noticed.. and then of course other 2p gobblers like PCP's aladin's cave and so on.
As time progressed Barcrest kicked more ass with titles like Action Bank and flash cash, and who can miss out machines like smash and grab and way in ?
Really, this is just waaay too tough to call.. my heart says barcrest but I wont vote for them because Id be doing all the other companies an injustice.. Even Bellfruit have had their moments of untouchability, as have maygay (Its a knockout and Donkey Kong are modern classics..)
QPS have done some really cool little machines worthy of a mention also, namely the medallion job which is great fun to play..
So with that Ill bugger off

I voted Impulse, it's mainly a personal matter. They are the first machines I played and they are consistently winnable

There were loads of them down the end of the Pier before it burnt down
Wonderland was good for old ones, near the Kursaal.

i voted maygay purely for the quality of licenceing, and samples used on all their machines.
Faves being...
On the Buses
Italian Job
Gladiators
Wild Zone
Jet Stream
Noels House Party
Simpsons
Eastenders
Coronation Street
Monopoly
Cluedo Super Sleuth
Just The Ticket (Obviously the Willy Wonka Licence was a tad too exspensive)

Club - Club Blackjack, Club Pontoon
Pub machines - Rocket Money, Pot Black, Place your bets, Buccaneer, Jewel in the crown, Luxor, Ten Ten
Memorable arcade time killers, andy capp + variants, road hog + variants
and the earliest machine that burned itself onto my mind - Smash & Grab / Break the bank, whatever it's called.
Hands down for me Barcrest...

What? does he like bar-x's? hee hee! Sorry i could not resist that one I use to enjoy the wink wink bar-x's £2 for X's and £10 for bars, the ones that would do a £70 run and then a bonus jackpot at the end if you were jammie!!
