Hi all, great site. I've been lurking around a while but not posted until today.

The question is ??

My local Bingo club allows players to reserve the machine they are playing on until the following morning. Many people do this as they have poured 100's in and want to get some of it back.

Now the tricky bit...... after the bingo session has finished or more likely during the following morning, is it possible that the machines rom would have been reset by the engineer, effectively cancelling the previous days efforts?
To my knowledge the club insists no credits are left in the machines ! I was thinking of taking a digi camera to photograph the reel positions in the evening so I could check them in the morning.
I have very good cause to suspect the above, plus a another scam in operation which I can't go into on-line.

Sorry for the long 1st question. Especially if it's all crap
Cheers, Keith.

hi rembering the reels from the night before will not tell you anything because they reset to the same position every morning i know this because i had my own fruit machine and it allways resets to the same reels when it starts-up i myself have put alot of money in a machine and come back the next morning and it was stilll playing they same way the next day i even had a engi come around and take money from the cash boxs while i was playing it and it was not affected the only way you will lose out is if they reset the machine to factory settings which i dont think they do unless theres a big error they only way you will lose out is if its been played while it was shut the best way to tell if it has is to listen to see if its dropping in the cash boxs below even the new machines make a different noise when there full and you can hear them dropping below also most bingo halls gala, riva.mecca ar not gonna bother to play the machine for a extra few quid as they allways make there money on them anyway saying that i have seen members of staff watching them and also playing them while the main bingo session is in play which i think is wrong so dont worry about your machine being played/tampered with over night hope this helps you a bit:D

Thanks for your reply, however I'm aware that a machine will return to the previous state of play if switched off or there's a power cut etc.
The point I'm trying to get across is if the engineer resets the rom then the machine will have effectively forgotten the state of play and put the player back to square one.
This theory can be supported by the club insisting no credits are left in the machine, so the only way of proving the machine has been tampered with is to make a note of the reels from the night before.
It makes a mockery of being able to reserve a machine for the following day as I'm not aware the club states it will still be in the same level of gameplay, reserving just means you are the first to play it next when you return.

i agree with you adyub why would they bother with all the hassle of reseting the roms when as you say they allways win anyway lol if it was a small arcade then maybe but big clubs and bingo halls wont bother reseting the roms to do you out :D

How old is the machine? It could just be that the battery is flat if you suspect that the RAM is being cleared every night.

If a club machine was really paying the night before (in this case it's club big brother) then when they turn it off and back on the day after, does it reset the machine therefore not paying out.

I'm asking this because I was on it once a couple of nights ago, kept offering seven stepper and i was getting 8 and 10 nearly every time. It was also getting me on 5th room a lot. But the next day, it was dead. So either they reset the machine or someone cleaned it out after i went.

Also does club big brother have a habit of rolling in jp on 10p play?

every machine has a battery which keeps the running % at what it should be.

there would be absolutly no reason why a site would reset the battery or clear the ram as this would then put the machine into a gaining % mode which means it will pay out more than it should so it can reach its target %.

regarding the reels when the machine switches off, most new machines will roll the reels to the last position when the machine was switched off.there may be a possibilty that staff are playing the machines when the public leave as this happens in pubs before and after the shut.

if the bingo hall is a national bingo hall then they will not be trying to cheat the punters as they do not usually have access to inside the machines unless an engineer is on site.

Are you saying that you are surprised that the machine stopped paying out because you had been winning the night before? It doesn't take a genious to work out that if the machine is paying out, and paying out, and paying out, then it will do the exact opposite sooner rather than later. Does it?

Just thought I'd add that Barcrest's Caribbean Club (2003?) resets the reels to

JP JP Triple Bar JP

whenever it is turned off and back on.

Dont know if they all do it, but the one that was in my golf club did, although I do know that most machines go back to the last position they were at. :)
